I'm 100% along for the ride whether or not there are some glitches along the way. It's very apparent that the team are working very hard on this game. It's clearly a labour of love. Tried Beta 2.02 and wow, what an improvement on an already excellent Beta. Love the improved UI and the graphical enhancements, and the extra music now in game.....Keep up the great work....:)...

There's been a couple of times when ive come out of frame shift and the star skybox has started working again, although the dust effect in asteroid belts / rings stopped working. Now the skybox is black again after reconnecting to the server.

For those who freeze on menu check your log files and delete them

path =
(your Install path) \Frontier\EDLaunch\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-1002\Logs

Thanks, done so ...
didn´t help with the freezing problem, but at least I got rid of an 1 GB netlog-file and lots of 0 kb logs

this is what I get in the logfile over and over and it's bloating up quickly. ~ 100mb / minute

Maybe the port is missing?

Just played for about 10 minutes no probs, although I didn't jump between systems. Did not get kicked from the server and also did not get the hang when I exited, although I did exit to the main menu first.

I'm still locking as soon as menu appears. By the time I have exited ctrl/alt/del I have around a 1/2 gig log file produced.

It does seem uK servers are suffering more than US ones currently.

about 24 hours now since I last played :(

Still not managed to play a single second or even get a look at Beta 2. I know Frontier are working hard and I thank them for that, but I can't wait to see it and start earning some cr again. :)

All you "Pirate Nation" people are winners.

(I use italics to represent sarcasm.)

why don't we just ignore the baiting commentary... *mod edit*

Ad hominem all you like, but betas are about testing a minimum viable product. And we are definitely not there yet. This is alpha grade software at the moment, and there is nothing wrong with that.

I'm also quite pleased with all the effort FDEV are putting in, and I'd appreciate it if you kept your ridiculous prejudgment (due to a sig) to yourself.

I've got the same as some posters above. Freeze on the menu screen, start is red and the server is reporting as [unconnected]. Have to kill it with task manager.

Have tried all the usual logout machine and back in , delete logfiles etc etc..
roll on 2.03 fingers crossed

A bit rich of someone who brags they can play with few issues to call out those who can't even get past the menu screen TBH.

I don't know about them raging but people are freezing on the menu screen which is rather more severe than being able to play like you can don't you think?

You can't test even a Beta you can't play. can you?

No but you can put in tickets for those problems with logs and thus HELPING with the "BETA testing".

You missed the whole point I was making in the first place. Which is it is BETA, its not going to work for everyone right off the bat (and there was some major game breaking bugs as of Beta 2's first release yesterday).

But raging about it and losing "patience" and saying "So DONE with this game" etc etc etc isnt really constructive to BETA testing now is it?

If you cant deal with things breaking when there is a major release change (With a game STILL in BETA) and not helping FD to fault find with full tickets/logs/etc then you failed to understand what BETA testing is..

plain and simple.

For first time today I didn't get disconnected when jumping between systems, and everything kinda works now.

FD looks like changing something on servers and more people get to play.

That's good for you. For me, I still freeze at the start-up, game continue to add-up on that large netLog file. I am kinda happy about the state of affairs though for I probably couldn't resist teh temptation to try it out in case it would allow me to :D It is already late, and gotta give a lecture tommorrow so I need to sleeeeep.

So I wish everyone g'night and those who can play and test: enjoy! Dev team: I hope that you find the solution to server problem very soon (for the sake of us all)!

Still just a permanent spinning ship for me.... the can't connect to server message has gone..... but then the ship keeps on a spinning....and spinning.... I beginning to hate that spinning ship. :D

Just had half hour without issues, full play - jumps, super cruise and docking. Looking
good!

Hmmm. Seems like one half of the players have no more issues at all and the other half still are stuck at various places. I fear that the servers settle down and open up more and more and people are "unfrozen" in the order of their date of purchase. *sigh* Which would be mean. Cause I bought it just this morning :D
