What is your Elite Quirk?

I also do that, when travelling, unless I'm in the mood for playing slaloms with the orbital lines, . (under one orbit line, over the next, under the third, rinse repear until destination...)

I'm actually going to adopt this, and go one further with it, "For IMMURSHON!", to doing preflight checks every time I change ship.

So, tell me.... Who did Haz/High/Low RES's form in the first place?mightn't it have been some miners bragging about their new motherlode sites?
Truckers irl use websites to find the most profitable loads to haul. Based on that i feel you could use eddb to locate profitable hauls without it being immersion breaking. Cant imagine in 1000+ years this would be less likely to be a thing than it is now.

Not telling you how to play though, just saying. o7

Edit: was more directed at your quoted post than yours

Just found I had another umm QUIRK. Seems I can't pass up something I am not yet entitled to. In my travels around me new temporary home, dropped into a station to find missions (locked) for access to a permit locked system. Never heard of the system, a bit investigation on 3rd party sites didn't show anything remarkable about the system BUT DAGNAMIT I suddenly had to gain the necessary Rep as quickly as possible to get that permit. Basically forgot about everything else, took all the appropriate missions, got the necessary rep, got the permit, did one trip there and will probably never go there again :D

Oh another one, found out I don't donate. I will take the lessor pay for more rep but will not just hand over my hard earned credits to some worthless faction that is too lazy to even offer half decent missions. Nope, if they want me to help them, offer me a mission but whatever you do, don't come to me with your damn hand out !

I found two more.

Whenever I'm practicing for a new race I always feel obliged to get my rep' with the faction controlling the start station up to friendly.

Case in point ..

And also - after I've done a load of planetary scan missions I always feel obliged to immediately go and clear all the bounties that I end up with.

Wait, are you saying some players don't hand in their bounties immediately upon landing. Yikes, what happens if they get killed with all those unclaimed bounties, that would devastate me! :D

Some players will hold on to combat bonds for a whole season just to give false assurances to others competing. Thats why i got the bronze goid trophy the previous season.

To be clear, I'm talking about bounties on my own head, "a death mark's not an easy thing to live with".

Yup did loads of exploring then came back bought a load of ships and did some engineering then decided to find a system to call home - which I did

and had to physically stop myself from honking every time I jumped into it...

also star is always above when scooping - anything else is just nuts

try to max insystem speeds by never going into the gravity well any further than needed - orrery is useful to plan this sometimes.

quite happy to just drop out of sc and sit in deep space when I turn off mind you.

Possibly a VERY drunk miner, who forgot what he blabbed about in the pub several nights back. Imagine his surprise when he gets back to that "secret" hotspot and finds it full of miners in cutters and type 9's, and pirates mugging the miners...

I try to fly smooth and realistically if I have passengers or cargo - like I was flying a commercial 747 rather than an F-18 fighter jet. This means slower approaches, gentle landings, no hard Gs, etc.
I know the official reason you fly so smooth is you don't want your passengers to spill the overpriced drinks you sold them but in reality you finally realised having to hose out the vomit from each of the cabins is just so time consuming lol

Well there's your usual quirks, green light on the right side when entering / exiting, always repair ship to 100% before using it (including paint), scooping with the star below.
But weirdest quirk I think is I always turn on my headlights when I enter / exit a station or base.

Really don't understand everybody wanting to land before logging off. A random spot out in normal space always felt way safer to me 🤷‍♂️

-Fed Rank still at 0 (I'll keep it that way)
-Need to engineer to max rolls (even if next tier is unlocked)
-scoop with star on top.
-approach destinations going 0.05 or faster
-don't exit sc until 100km or less
-exit sc behind a Orbis or Ocellus so i can faceplant the back of the station

Not sure this counts as a quirk but when approaching a planet or whatnot in supercruise and have all those orbitlines engaged, I feel like I'm piloting a ship from the Alien franchise about to find a whole heap of alien horribleness when i land.

I have also offered on more than one occasion to offer catering services to the wedding barge party but i never get a response :(

I do a lot of the same things, I always roll and scoop with the star above me, maintain the ship before logging out etc..
When exploring and discovering new planets/bodies I always align the orbits vertically. When I come into a fresh untouched system I honk and get the count then I start at the star and fly outward vertically spiraling outwards until I find all planets to the last one and furthest out. I don't have to find them in order but it helps. I do most exploring in an AspX so the view seems natural in VR to look up at a fixed point to find that one distant speck that is barely moving compared to the backdrop. Orbit lines always off too and I play fully clothed as well.
