I made the comment about the climate crisis movement being a mechanism to enable socialism (and socialism is just Communism masquerading as something slightly more palatable to the average idiot), and that seems pretty self explanatory to me. I've literally been saying that ever since I first started opining in Off Topic, so what part of my stance is confusing you? You can't fix ANY of the problems you're concerned about without MAKING people live differently, through Governmental policy or a loaded gun to their heads.

In all seriousness, I've read of people surfing here while at "office". I'll admit I have done something similar though I'm not an example of anybody, can't say that of a boss.

Technically still working, but in the office drawing up building plans and writing invoices, as opposed to 50 feet off the ground on scaffolding like I was all day previous to this. My business, re-roofing and installing energy/heat efficient window/door/siding on old houses and buildings that need to be brought up to date to be more energy conscious is kind of a mix between hands on labor and lots and lots of office work. I'm the owner, so unfortunately there's simply no getting away from it. The good news is that I just completed a job where we project to have saved a condominium association as much as 50% on their annual heating/cooling bill.Not?

That's interesting. Can I ask how long it would take the condo association to recoup the cost of the work in those bill savings?
The projections were 7-10 years. Judging from the shape the buildings were in, I'm leaning towards the lower side of that projection.
Not too bad, then. I'm also guessing it may assist in renting the units to people who appreciate this kind of thing (I would) so it has an additional practical benefit there.
