Why devs are not ADDRESSING these!

Why devs are not addressing, either responding to big issues that I’ve seen raised in almost every forum such as: wolves(and many other animals but the wolves are particularly fake) terrible social structure, no color changing in the fur and TIME SPEED? I’m not saying “fix it” but at least ADDRESS IT, cause looking and responding to everything else, except for those particular things, looks like they do not really care, which is first of all very unprofessional by the time they should listen to all players, not just the ones that have problems easy peasy to fix and second, these have been problems raised in every forum, which hundreds of people agreeing.

Hi Fedi, we've been addressing and acknowledging things left right and centre; it's a busy period and we have to prioritise things we can tackle short term before we can start addressing longer term fixes. Rest assured, they will happen.
We're very active here on the forum and on our social pages, but we have to ask you to be patient a bit longer until there's more information we can give you. Before you raise more concerns, please know that all feedback is constantly being relayed to the relevant teams and people are working very hard around the clock to address as much as possible.

Thanks for understanding.

I think the "time-speed" problem has been blown out of proportion. I honestly don't think the time scale is the problem. It seems to me that the insane breeding rate is what has everyone flipping out. I too thought it was just a problem of clock-speed. It's just utterly insane how fast these animals breed. The idea of a "difficult to breed" species is nonsense at this rate. I put two monitor lizards together and before I even left them they were pregnant. Pregnancy and birth should be an accomplishment, not a nuisance. I really hope they don't respond directly to the fan requests and instead tackle the underlying problem. BIRTH RATES

It doesn't matters if the animals get pregnant a month or a year after you put them into the zoo.
When the year is gone by in a couple of minutes without pausing the game, that is the problem, nothing else.
Otherwise you have lesser animals... i don't see any benefit in that.

Speaking for myself, the problem for me is the time speed. It’s too fast, things break down too fast, guests stares at one enclosure for weeks, animals take weeks to eat or to just walk to the feeders, some species die too fast...honestly breeding is my last problem as so far I didn’t have so many babies.

Yea it feels like that because the time is moving too fast when you don't pause all the time.
(not bothering me, i am playing that way anyway)
To cripple the birthrate will solve no problems, just make the game even more frustrating as it is for some people.

I would like to be able to play more and not spend that much time on pause but for now that seems to be the only way to try and at least enjoy your zoo and the animals a little bit

It is difficult on franchise mode to relax and enjoy the zoo and the animals.
I think it is not meant for that but more for the managing part.
While i enjoy that atm (more than i thought), i am also looking forward to just build nice stuff (well... as nice as my fumblepaws will be able to) and just watch my animals play.
But i will do that in sandbox or another mode without pressure.
I don't need everything in one gamemode and i don't think this is possible without crippling the one or another experience.

Watching animals play with concern for money and staff efficience spoils it...
having a too easy managment part to be able to watch animals spoils that one too.
I like the many game modes.

Still i think the base speed should be tuned down to 50% of what it is now.

But there are alot of things that needs to adressed frist, like poo-in-the-water where you have to box all animals, release the water manually until the habitat is cleaned and then redo the water and release the animals again ;)

I disagree. Birth rates have been significantly tweaked since beta and for the first time I am actually very happy with them. I do not find them to be an "underlying problem" whatsoever. If they start making them harder and harder yet again, like they did at the end of the beta, I think THAT would be a mistake. Because at the end of the day, with how fast animals age and die, you need pregnancies and births to even keep your population alive.

What is an issue is when I get a notification my ostrich is pregnant, and literally a minute or two later she's suddenly giving birth. That right there is an issue with time being too fast and THAT is the underlying problem.

Thank you Bo! I understand there is a lot to work on but just keeping us in the loop and letting us know that some major issues (like social behaviors) are still going to be worked in helps a lot even if the fixes may take awhile. Maybe there could be a pinned post with the major issues and their status? Game design, no changing or resolved by X means, or we are working on this right now or we are aware of this and will be working on it in the future. That way people can see what has been replied to and what has not (easy for things to get lost here).

I WISH I had that problem. I've been running the game on fast speed in order to accomplish things. With two Community Challenges, now, I have NOT been able to get past the third level of the personal contributions of the challenge.

If birth rates where lowered (they did this at the end of beta btw) then everything falls apart. Suddenly you can't raise enough babies to keep your zoo self sufficient, or make CC to keep buying more animals.

Right now I have a what I would call "small on the verge of medium" sized zoo with about 70 I think animals spread over 10 habitats and it is getting to the point where I don't want to build anymore because I can't keep up. I am now playing the game virtually paused the entire time with short controlled bursts of unpause. This is in franchise mode. I can't turn off breeding because then my Zoo would end up empty. I need babies that can be used either to replace my adults when they die or to release to the wild to get CC to get more animals.

Hi Fedi,

At least you are able to play the game, I can no longer save the game in any play mode. This wasn't an issue for the first 10 hours of release but now is and I can't even enjoy any of the game now due to save issues. I can't even enjoy the other bugs in the game that you are currently enjoying :).

I’m so sorry that you are having troubles. I hope it will be fixed soon! I can’t really say I’m enjoying the game, first of all because of the bugs and the things I’ve said before and second because it’s soo soo hard to build. Hope I’ll get better!

does "they", who get fixed, include the speed of the game (the length of a day)? if not then id like to refund please.

We tried your suggestion in beta and had another problem out of it, the animals nearly didn't breed anymore even with a pretty good chance to get offspring - since the time (days/month/years) went by so fast (and still does) I for example had the problem that my wildogs died out pretty fast and I had to buy new ones who didn't breed eigther... the third time my wildogs died out I couldn't effort any CCs anymore to buy new ones, so the habitat stayed empty for the rest of the beta. Less breeding also would open a need for a slower base time, because animals will still die at their max age and so the problems even go from bad to worse since we have to achieve CCs for certain animals and can't buy them for money. With setting another base time (and still have the current faster options ▶▶▶▶▶) this would be much easier to handle and the overall balancing could become easier too threw a slower base time (snowing days in the summer months ?! - for example) - in my opinion your idea wouldn't help (even with less breeding many other things are going on in a zoo with just 20 habitas and some vivariums you have to take care off too). I love the game, but I fully agree on the points listed from OP.
