How to enable IPv6 in the game?

I cannot enable IPv6 in Network Options in the game, all the buttons for IPv6 are grayed out. Does anyone know how to get it working? I'm getting a lot of server disconnects and wanted to try v6 to see if it improves things.

It is not so very 'offcourse' that your isp is using/supporting ipv6

Do you have it enabled on your network interface? A little more details in your config is welcome. Then you do not need to reply with Offcourse :)

wondering about this too. I had it enabled for a while, disabled it to reduce rubberbanding and now can not enable it anymore :oops:

Perhaps it has to do with the new network compression implemented.

btw your connection will not speedup or reduce latency using ipv6. You might have gremlins in your house tho

My router can do IP6, and my ISP says they support it, but its rubbish, they support IP6 like supermarkets support the rights of cows.

Same here. It shows up on my PC's stats, but closer examination of my provider shows that IPv6 is not implemented.

Ask a question and free associate with forum members whether or not you do have IPv6 really and what that means anyway.

Maybe I should just open a ticket. Or try turning it off and on again. Thanks for something, it's just me.

Getting snotty is never really very productive. People asked sensible questions and made observations.

FYI - I have hovered in this thread as I too cannot enable IPv6 in the game even though every IPv6 test I can find shows my system is handling it properly.

So when you get over yourself, do let us know what support have to say. ;)

I received this reply today from Frontier Support:


This is not something that has been brought to our attention. We have not disabled Ipv6, nor are we aware of other players experiencing this issue. What exactly is preventing you from enabling IPV6?

Could you please provide us with a screenshot of the Network options available to you so that we can see for ourselves?


So presumably it would be helpful if others with this issue could submit tickets on the frontier support site, thanks. https://support.frontier.co.uk
