What are you going to name your Fleet Carrier?

Depends on how long the name can be. I'd like to call my carrier "Buying LTDs for 100k more than the Borann stations!"

Probably call it the Icarus or Agamemnon.

I love Homeworld on the PC, i though the Bentusi where a mysterious and cool race, so i'm making the FC their mother ship, so i'll be calling it the 'Bentusi Exchange'

Superb game. I just finished playing the Remastered version and can't wait for Homeworld 3.

While we don't know whether carriers will be nameable... that logic does not follow. We are permitted to name our ships, with the only "policing" done being automated with the overzealous profanity filter.
It stands to reason that, if we were able to name our carriers, they would fall under the same restrictions as our ship names.

Ship names are only visible briefly, if one deliberately looks for the name by scanning the ship. Carrier names will (presumably?) be somewhat more widely broadcast. A much stronger degree of filtering is going to be needed, because they'll be much more visible (and thus more likely to be seen by someone who will object to an inappropriate name).

Once again, speculation is mostly pointless when answers are forthcoming in a couple of days.

I expect to see loads of really cool Sci-Fi derivatives on GalMap soon, maybe we should start a predictive poll on the most common FC name and follow it up with FCspotting. My money is on Enterprise, Red Dwarf, and Canterbury. In no particular order.

Hopefully some people will balance that with well thought out alternative names. Like Bath Fart or Toxic Donkey
