Sandbox Options still requested

Fair enough, but IMO the animals don't exactly have much personality anyway and turning off welfare just means I don't have to concern myself over the annoying details.

That said, the last update did wonders to make them all more dynamic, even without welfare - I've been noticing all over the place that the animals are interacting with each other more.
Yeah, they don't have much personality, but I felt like with wellfare off it was even worse. I must admit, I started a new zoo and am in the building phase again. Hadn't had a chance to check out the new update yet, unfortunately. But I'm currently finetuning my polar bear habitat and am close to ban the bear right away again from the zoo, as the size looks so ridicolous.Turning wellfare off just for him isn't worth it either.
 
May I add to my previous post: With the new update, if you play the game in easy mode, the animals won't have their animal welfare drop so drastically when space is not met. My two polar bears are now living in a 6136 m2 land area and 2016 m2 water area habitat and the welfare just drops to 85%, as other nees are met. That is pretty good news!

Good to know, nice spotting.

I also noticed that exhibit animals are now affected by welfare being turned off. Not sure if that was always the case but I only just realised it myself (boa constrictors keep overpopulating - they're the only exhibit animal I breed because I want to get my albino back that I once found on the market).
 
I don't know if this counts as a sandbox 'option' per se, or just a general feature, but one thing that has been requested quite a lot is the traversible terrain heatmap for keepers. I think this is a really necessary inclusion at this point, especially as players get better with the terrain function and need to see specifically whether their keepers can reach certain points. For example, my current flamingo habitat seems to be a bit of a dud, because I put the shrimp feeding pool in the water, but the keepers never fill it. The water is extremely shallow (reaches the flamingos' knees) so in reality a keeper would be able to wade through it (and probably would), but it doesn't seem to work like that in-game. I'd also rather not ugly-up the habitat by adding some kind of wooden walkway, either.

It would be nice to know with a heatmap whether the keepers literally can't reach the feeders, or whether there's some other reason they aren't getting to them.
 
Honestly i would like an option to use different terrain textures in different maps. For example savannah grass on a temperate map. This would affect the diversity a lot. i'm hoping for an update in the future.

YES! I've been using a Temperate map, it makes my pathing easier since the heavy soil almost perfectly blends with the wood chip path. But damn if an African Safari doesn't look more better with that tall yellow grass. So make it like ZT where you'd select the biome (temperate, grassland, tropical, etc.) and then select the actual paint. IMO the animals should only care about whether you use dirt, grass, rock, etc. the biome feature should just be for aesthetics.
 
Some sandbox options that are still not in the game but wanted and requested

1. No Litter - let us have the No Litter option like we have in PlanCo.
2. No Damage - Turning off damage for rides etc.
3. An option to train our staff even when we have infinite energy on for staff. Or an option to instantly level them up as we want would be even better.
4. No Crime, let us turn off the pick pocketing in our zoo like we can with vandalism.
5. No Dirty Habitats, give us the option to always have clean habitats.
6. All food bowls and food enrichtments and Water bowls etc always full.
7. Refresh animal market without the need to adopt an animal just to refresh, just let us refresh until we get the animal we like and want.

These are all options I would love to see in sandbox mode only offcourse, it's all about having options to play with our zoo's the way we like, having these options will make it more fun for when you jjst wsnt to build dream zoo' s without all the extra hassle.

Did any of these options made it into the new Patch or after months still no addition to sandbox options ? Specially No Damage seem to be needed now with the vending machines breaking down. But a No Litter also a much needed option to have. but the other options also a things to still want. So anything made it in ? Or are we still out of luck after all this time that has passed ?

  • Animals: Genetics all 100% (including trade center)
  • Animals: Disable adult animal ageing (once an animal hits adult it will no longer age and stay at maturity age)
  • Guest: Disable feeding animals
  • Guest: Disable protesters
  • Guests: Disable littering/theft
General game:
  • Refresh button in trade center: make it remove all animals currently in trade center and generate new animals.
  • Delete/despawn employees with the facility they spawn in (shops).

Turning off welfare disables the foliage impact, and you can already disable protesters.
 
What happened to my post ? I posted an idea for the new water regulator as a sandbox option and it got removed, why ? Why amI not allowed to post a new sandbox idea in my own thread this is simply crazy.

Anyway, my idea is to have an always perfect water temperature for each animal in the specific habitat or if you have multiple animals in a habitat maybe have the perfect balance inbetween. If anyone has other ideas for an option for this new water regulator please drop a line below. Hope the devs can give us something to make the sandbox options complete.

Most habitat animals breed slowly enough that I want them to breed and die normally, but exhibit animals tend to have so many offspring at a time and have so low population maximums that they instantly overfill their exhibits every time one of them gives birth. It's so tedious having to go through my animal list and release like 30 small animals into the wild every 10 minutes.

  • All animals 5 stars.
  • Clear map button (wipes everything off the map like trees)
  • Refresh in trade center - refreshes all animals to new animals.

I hadn't thought about that, actually, but I still want my habitat animals to breed and age normally, so I'd still like the option.
 
Adding a No requirement for the new Water Temperature Regulator to this list, as its weir now we have an options so we dont need to place power and weather but now we do need this new water temp regulator.

I'd like to be able to do it down to the habitat/exhibit or even individual animals. For example, I want to be able to say "all animals in this habitat stop aging/breeding. I love habitats with the full number of babies, so I'd like to look at my bison habitat, carefully wait until all the females are pregnant and then turn off aging for that enclosure. Births of the pregnant females would still take place but the babies would remain babies forever. It's sandbox, let me live my dream of full herds/packs with offspring without then having to monitor the enclosure to remove adult animals that now go over the maximum group size, replacing dead animals, dealing with fights because there are too many adult males, etc.
