Yep, I would ditch the SCA and put in a DSS. Don't forget to throttle down or immediately move once you exit hyperspace - playing headbutt-a-thon with a star never ends well. Trust me, I've done it

You could also 4D the shield generator which will be lighter but the choice is yours on that one. Additionally, you do have room and power for 1B subsurface displacement missile. You'll only be missing seismic (core) mining from your setup.

Addendum to my earlier post - you already have 2D sensors - I should have said D rate your life support. Sorry about that!

I'm pretty sure you need to have the DSS aboard to see them, even if you've scanned them before. You don't need to rescan though. ........
