Who cares about suggestions for improving the state of PvP when FDEV is so clearly not listening to us? They are interesting academic discussions, at best. Blaming an entire group of players for your perception of the "state of PvP" is breathtakingly stupid of you. Especially when so many of those players, like those in Newton's Fusiliers or Loren's Reapers (the name of the groups I referenced), are having a ton of fun anyway.
More or joining them every day, by the way.
To go further the current state of affairs is not the fault of these so called PvPers or so called Carebears. It lies solely the with the party that has actual power to change anything in the game: FDEV.
the best part is that I've seen plenty of suggestions to improve pvp that don't revolve around forcing people into open, most of which involve giving people a reason to actually participate and/or making it less painful to get shot down
...
Disclaimer: My main is in the squadron Loren's Reapers (As otherwise I may be accused of bias)
Phisto invited anyone with a passing interest in helping 'rank up' Colonia engineers about a year ago - I went out and did just that, helped.
At that time a small group of players were having a ball in Carcosa - and a few more arrived in the following months. Even though I made it obvious I wasn't particularly interested in PvP I was offered a role in LR and tagged along happily.
The squadron has grown, there is a lot of 'action' for the members, if they choose, and IMO they are a great bunch. Yes, they are 'cool' with me just being interested in fighting wars and BH'ing or running missions, exploring... I can 'help out', mixing with those same folk who others consider to be 'not particularly nice', and have a bunch of in-game 'friends' who are OK with my play - even if it isn't their main interest.
I guess my point is that PvP players are not gruesome mobsters who enjoy making the weak suffer - I wouldn't still be lurking in Carcosa otherwise (even if I'm on a 'bubble holiday' for a couple of weeks) nor be looking forward to going back each time I return to the bubble - the ones I mix with are just another bunch of players, with a common interest as well as own interests...
As a nod to the highlighted comment - it is true for me, particularly, being a part of the group has changed my view on ship loss, and playing in open, in comparison to my previous time

I may have lost a ship or two in the last year, but really, it doesn't matter - I lost them while enjoying actually 'doing' something in-game - c'est la vie
