Its one of my favourite animals and also quite unique. I think it would be an exciting animal to add with its social behaviours and the way they communicate with flashing colours.

Couldn't find something about them being kept in Captivity. But a similar Species would be great. But a Octopus would be also really awesome.
There isn't a single Zoo that keeps them. I don't even think it would be possible to keep them in Captivity. At least not until we find out more about them. As far as I know they where only once seen alive (ok found out that they were seen a few more Times. But everytime they leave their dark Deepsea Home, they die because of the lower Pressure so I don't think it would be even possible to transport one of them alive to a Zoo unless some kind of special Container that can also trap the Calmar while it's still in the Deepsea gets invented and of course the Tank in the Zoo would need to be extremely big and under strong Pressure all the Time)

There's been some attempts at it by raising the fry in captivity none successful yet though AFAIK, they've been seen and filmed a fair few times now. Dr Edith Widder or Clive Roper are really good sources for info and finding documentaries.
Video games don't really need to be realistic, just fun and they'd be fun.

I prefer Animals that can be kept in Captivity in Real Life but it wouldn't be that bad if we get also Animals that can't be kept in Captivity.

I wonder if Zoos can even keep Animals that only live in the Deepsea (I think the Answer is yes if they really tried to raise them in Captivity)
Just had a Thought. I think if we should ever get a relatively big Marine Expansion and if I should build a Zoo that only or almost only keeps Marine Species, I will maybe try to build a Architeuthis Cafe that not only will have some Architeuthis inspired Design Elements but hopefully also some educational Stuff about them inside

I think it was part of a documentary where the captured them in deep sea pressure containers, then they unfortunately died in captivity.
I can't remember who was the presenter or the documentaries name though I'm afraid.
