What is the quickest, legit way to get a Fleet Carrier?

I'm using a mining Python, setup for Painite runs in an overlap, and at most I make between 130m - 150m credits per run. Is this the current best way to make the most money to get to buying a Fleet Carrier?

Any help and/or insight would be appreciated!

If you want a change of pace, you can re-outfit your python for passenger missions and make 90 to 110M an hour, once allied, (which only takes a few runs), running stacked passenger missions from Robigo Mines to Sirius Atmospherics.
Depending on your PP status and where you are at, stacked massacre missions can make even more than that. However, mining is still the simplest way to reliably make 100M or more an hour.

Do you have a friend with an FC? A legit way would be selling to them at a below market price, right next to your mining spot. It would make up for the loss, with less travel time, so more mining. Your friend would make their money back with they sell the thousands of tons of Painite at the market price.

I think the mining Cutter is the best. But that is only if you have already leveled up Imperial ranking. That can take some time.
With LTDs nered. (Not a complaint) I would say Panite and the Robigo mine run are about equal. Easily you can make 200 to 500 a day.
You can probably earn enough to get the FC faster than you can do Powerplay for the Prismatics.

I would say build up to a significant amount more than 5 Billion though. Outfitting and maintaining the thing will eat you up if you don't have some hefty reserve funds.
I have seen quite a few decommissioned FCs,

The way that players constantly ask for the quickest way for this and that, FD should just adjust the game so everything is instantly available.

It's as if the path to obtaining a goal has lost all its meaning.

Used to be if you owned one of the original Big Threes you had accomplished something, particularly the Cutter and the Corvette due to rank lock. Now these can be obtained so readily they have lost most of the glamor and sense of achievement they once possessed.

Don't mind me, I'm a curmudgeon, let me sit in the dark, rocking my chair.

The problem with mining with Cutter compared to Python is you will have more difficulty finding stations with large landing pads and who are buying large quantity of painite at good price.

A fully outfit FC and upkeep for a year is well over 7B. Not counting ship/module packages. If you want to have any use out of your commodity market you will need another few Billion credits. Ensuring you have rebuy money, another few hundred million. I would not really feel I could afford a FC until I had 10B+. Just my opinion.

People will always gravitate towards activities which pay the most, for the least amount of effort, and that's just natural human behaviour. Some of us have limited free time, and that time is thus precious.

I also throw my vote at the Laser Cutter for Painite Mining. Since mining can me tiresome and since it will still take a long time to get the money for a FC, working on the rank with missions from time to time can be a nice change of pace and prevent burn out.

Selling the Painite with a Cutter right after mining can be tricky due to landing pad restrictions, though. But the well known Painite double hotspots in the bubble are usually littered with FCs and some of them may even pay a decent price. You may not get the "full" price per run, but you can make more runs in thes same time.

You really don't need that much money for a FC tbh. I think I bought mine when I had between 7 and 8 Billion and I still had enough cash for rebuys and upkeep. The FC will also massively help you earning new credits (e.g. park it close to a hot spot, mine to your heat's content, fill up storage space of FC, bulk sell when prices are right), so you can still work on upkeep and "nice-to-have" modules later
