The Australian pack was a nice start, however I feel like inspiration was taken from the Australian zoo and not the Taronga zoo. While it may have the name Australian zoo, in my opinion it is the least Australian zoo there is, and the Taronga zoo holds the name for a true Australian zoo as it houses much more Australian species. I don't even enjoy going to Sydney and am a Brisbanite, however even I think Taronga zoo is way more Aussie and I would pay to see Taronga over the Australian zoo again if I was to pick a zoo to go to.
Enough rabble however, the point is, if another Australian pack were to come out, I would like to see native species found in the taronga zoo in the next Australian animal pack.
First priority
Tasmanian Devil*
Tree Kangaroo
Emu
Wombat
Frill necked lizard (Exhibit)
Alternate options or future pack choices
Quokka
Echidna
Platypus+
Bilby
Rock Wallaby
Corroboree frog (Exhibit)
Mertens Water monitor
*Taronga zoo has a conservation breeding project for the Tasmanian devil(TD), it used to have a public enclosure before the refurb, but even so other zoos around australia still have TD exhibits.
+ Healesville sanctuary, Taronga zoo and other zoos have begun successsfully breeding Platypus since 2008 and as a result are now able to export to other zoos around the world to help bring more awareness to this species.
