Planet aquarium or something like that

I would love a massive Aquarium DLC - I'm not concerned with real life issues when immersed in this amazing fantastical computer game - this game is an escape and joy and where imagination can run wild - and would love to see a huge Aquatic life DLC and amazing aquarium plants expansion. :)

I would also prefer a big Expansion Pack instead of a separate Game. There would be way more Options for the Zoos and they wouldn't need to solve Bugs again for a completely new Game.
Absolutely I agree. A separate game for sea animals in such a game is always "second plan" for me.
I would like Career-Mode Scenarios to be included because there's a lot of Misinformation about Marine Animal Parks and the Game could teach about it this Way.
Assuming such a DLC is coming, absolutely, I want new scenarios to be included in the career mode. Apart from the franchise sandbox game mode, one of the most important parts of the game is the scenarios. but If there will be ridiculous scenarios like trying to keep polar bears alive in the desert, there is no need. this will lead to more misunderstanding.
This would be really great. Maybe they could include a Option to buy a Water Filter with a integrated Cooler or Heater. It would also be nice if they could change it so that Coolers and Heaters have a bigger Range when they are inside a Building.
yes that would be great. But I don't know how realistic this would be, it is not only possible for a single water filter to clean multiple tanks, but also the tanks may need to be at separate temperatures, which will cause confusion. so I would have liked separate cooler and heater filters that we could reduce their coverage area.

I agree. You are not the only person to say this, but first of all, technical issues need to be resolved. :)
we don't have animals diving yet. Therefore, having too much expectation is disappointing. Treat it as just a wish, don't get too carried away. Instead of expecting too much and being disappointed, don't expect too much, but if you get a DLC like you mentioned, you'll be twice as happy. :)
If the diving system of animals is added to the game, I think that the more demanded marine animals will come first, for example penguins, otters. I'm not saying I don't want a big DLC, who wouldn't want that! just, I am assuming we will get a few marine animals with DLCs that will be released earlier.

I think it's likely that we will get this with the Update that is released with the Expansion Pack if we get it (which I really hope)

I hope it will be like you mentioned.

But If the diving system will be added to the game, I think they will do it primarily for existing animals. As everyone knows, such mechanics come with major free updates, and one DLC is being released with major free updates. I think we will only get one or two sea animals when the diving mechanics are added to the game. I hope to get a big DLC in a year or so later, and land animals will continue to be added to the game as well. but it would be really cool to get a big DLC Pack right away when the dive mechanics are added to the game with the free big update.

We can only wish - would be terrific if we had aquariums in game . . .

I really dont want a separated game for that. If you ever been to any ZOO, there are semi-aquatic animals and aquariums. Not the big ones with Orcas or Dolphins, yeah. But Aquariums with smaller fish. I really think they should add it, doesnt matter if it takes them 4 years to complete or more. I just feel like a ZOO is not complete without some watery animals in it.
They could add the diving mechanism with a free update, just like they does with other additional content till now. I really feel like its not so impossible and I have my hopes up for a Marine or Semi-aquatic DLC

I'm wondering if the diving-problem is somehow related to the fact that water in this game has no bottom? We use this when building under water tunnels. But what if animals really diving just would "fall out" of the water if we cut out the ground below the water?

If there'll be 'Planet Aquarium', what animals will there be in that game? I don't mind no species that cannot be in captive and/or last long in real life (like great white sharks, narwhals, swordfish, and bigger adult whales).

Hopefully we get a aquatic dlc at some point for PZ. I would much rather have them add at least the basic aquatic animals like penguins, otters, beavers, platypus, seals, and maybe a manatee. Not all marine I know and I would doubt all would make the roster but it’s definitely enough for a zoo style game. Octopus would be a neat exhibit addition. But if there ever was a planet aquarium I’d probably buy it. I’d also be open to orcas and dolphins also for a game like this. Great whites probably not so much as there’s much better sharks suited for aquariums. I know the orca is debatable too but they do exist in captivity unlike great whites.

O Well. Maybe if a different company can make a “planet aquarium” type of game I’d be happy and I’d certainly play it. I just hope that game includes the same love PZ has made about learning about the animals and highlights the greater side of zoos/aquariums.
I started another thread about coastal marine animals that would make the most sense.

I think the not entirely marine animals that have some land actions (most of what you mentioned in the first part of your post except the manatee) would work just fine. Yes, new rigs and animations but they wouldn't HAVE to have swimming, floating would be something. Granted it would be better to have them swimming but coding may be more complex.

Fully marine animals I'm not sure if we'll get or not.

I agree with thid very much. I feel like the semi-aquatic animals are the lest they should give us if not the fully marine animals such as fishes, octopus or dolphins. And the Planet Zoo gameplay is based about animal wellfare, releasing them into the wild and learning about their needs, so that would be great to educate people this way while taking care of those marine animals. And another big new story campaing with handling those animals and learning what is the right way. I think that would be really awesome to have in PZ! We need new mechanisms for PZ and aquariums and semi-aqutic animals is just that thing we need to complete the whole experience!

I too agreed with ideas of Planet Zoo having seals and penguins. Some/most zoos had seals, real-life, books and games.

Personally I don't think they'll add cetaceans. I just don't see why they would risk the negative publicity when they could make such a great pack with much less controversial choices such as penguins, otters, capybara, seals etc. They possibly may go for sharks and/or turtles though.

Most of the controversy connected to cetaceans is pushed by the same people who want to eliminate all zoos, farms, and pets...

I don't think that's true at all, there are plenty of legitimate concerns about cetaceans in captivity in real life but honestly where the controversy comes from doesn't even matter in the context of Planet Zoo. You can see just on this forum that people have very strong opinions on both sides. To me it just seems to be a very risky, unnecessary move from a business perspective.

As a person who is interested in fishkeeping, I actually think an aquarium DLC and making habitats for sharks, sawfish, mantas, and other sea animals would be quite fun. I think interactive stingray bays (places where zoos let you pet stingrays) would be a great thing to add to the game. If they add a first-person cam, they could even let you pet the stingrays (I personally don't mind whether the stingrays saltwater or freshwater though, both of them work from what I understand)

As this is a 5 year old thread I'll be closing it but feel free to open a new topic about a DLC if you'd like.
Thank you :)
