Frontier: give the FSD to ALL players, regardless of whether they took part or not

This is unfair, only people who own FCs manage to be among the 25%!
Frontier changes threshold to 75%
This is unfair, if I would have known that I could get the FSD with 75% I would have put more effort into the CG!
Frontier gives the FSD to all participants
This is unfair, if I would've known that all participants benefit I would have contributed to the CG!
Frontier gives the FSD to everyone
This is unfair, if I would've known that everyone gets it, I wouldn't have wasted my time with the CG.

Moral of the story is that CGs are stupid and should be removed from the game.
Oh, we already had that.
Actual moral of the story is:
  • Do not use broken modules as FOMO fuel for a CG.
  • Do not change the terms once the event is gone.

My main issue is a better range FSD is a positive boon to an explorer and as an explorer I’m very rarely anywhere near the bubble.
It would be like having a CG for a weapon at Sag A.

I don't know. If they now stop giving exclusive modules lots of people would be unhappy that they don't get exclusive modules anymore.
And if they didn't change the terms we would still argue about FCs being unfair...

Well, better fix the problem before it spreads out.
...And for the FCs.... it is different, they are ongoing. No one locked them from obtaining in 5 day period during January 3306.

For the record, I don't think these modules should exist for the same reason my CMDR's focused efficient (thanks legacy secondaries!) TLB PAs shouldn't exist.

In my opinion, everything that exists in the game should be fungible, or at least be able to be acquired, via some means, by any character. I don't like exclusives (and yes my CMDR has a Cobra IV, and reduced insurance, and bunch of other stuff no one can currently earn, via any method...I would gladly see it all removed, if it meant for a more equitable game) and I don't like grandfathered/legacy equipment.

It's ok to have rewards, even significant ones, but to reward items that can neither be transferred (either through sale or theft), nor recreated, rubs me the wrong way.
Fungible ? Gonna have to Google that one

Dear Frontier give all players EVERYTHING for free, because otherwise it's just not fair!

I don't think anyone (ok many) are asking for that.... Earning gear in game is what this game is about for me.... Just don't make ONLY earnable forms very limited time window.

Personally I think it is a little dishonest equating 1 off unicorn Superior gear to "give me everything now for free".

It needs to be accepted as a problem first. As it stands most people seem to enjoy exclusive modules, otherwise people wouldn't be angry about them being slightly less exclusive...

...And for the FCs.... it is different, they are ongoing. No one locked them from obtaining in 5 day period during January 3306.
And no one stops people from participating in CGs either.

Ok, my story. I've heard of this CG in Sunday. Made 1 loop with 720t of cargo and realized I will never be in top 25% with such rate. I gave up and ended in 75% (minimum was 625t, so I barely managed to get in).
And today I found they gave me this new FSD.
My Phantom had 70ly jump range. After installation of new FSD it become 73.5ly. Then I get it hasn't experimental effect installed, and took myself to Elvira and added it. Now my shiny Phantom has 76ly jump range. Almost hit Exploconda build.
I'm happy, but I know some of you will blame me for my luck. I see this was unfair decigion somethere. I agree, this new FSD should be available to everyone. Because this thing is brilliant. Gosh, I'm so happy with it.
