Mac is back

My MacBook Pro has been the most reliable laptop I've ever owned. It's more than paid for itself, considering I've had it for 8 years and it's as good as the day I bought it.

That said, I wouldn't buy the rubbish laptops Apple is selling these days. Hopefully newer PC laptops have copied all the good qualities of the older MacBooks while ignoring all of Jony Ive's useless hippy magic. "This is the thinnest laptop we've ever made." Uh hu.
When it comes to laptops I have fond memories of my Lenovo T60. Very solid machine, was dropped numerous times, no major damage. I think that premium laptop is premium quality regardless of OS it runs. That T60 is still in working condition, but sadly lacks resources to be anymore usefull (mainly RAM is capped to 3 gigs.).

Does it still work?

Yeah it's my wife's now, as I've upgraded to a gaming laptop (Predator Helios 300). I've become less and less happy with Mac OS over the years (and Apple in general), so my days of being a Mac fan are behind me. That said, I am impressed with what Apple achieved with their new M1 laptops. I'm no fan of x86 CISC architecture, but if I want to play Space Engineers, that's what I must use for now.

I will say that I feel like I've gotten more out of my gaming PC laptop, which I believe cost LESS than that Macbook Pro, because it is SO much more powerful and versatile. Whether or not it will last as long as that Macbook has is yet to be seen, but so far the only problem I've had with it is a noisy fan which later fixed itself.
