Ideas for future dlcs

Hi this is my first post and I would like to share with you and Frontier these ideas for future dlcs. Firs, I want to clarify that they are not my creation but I found them on Reddit and they seemed very good options and I would like to thank the person who created them.

African pack: the choices semm perfect to me.They are the rhinoceros and the meerkat, two very requested by the fans. In addition, the secretary bird would add one more bird to the few that there are, besides that he was also in the zoo tycoon 2.
Asian pack: which is possibly the next dlc. again the choices seem perfect. Although the Malayan tapir is one of my favorite animals, I would not add it since it would be a reskin of the tapir that we have
Aquatic pack 2:unfortunately I do not think they will get second parts of the current dlcs, although it is probable that the beaver is included in the north american dlc.
North American pack: I like the moose and maybe I would change the raccoon and the turtle for the beaver and the cougar.
South America pack 2:I do not think they will get a second part of this dlc, but I would love to have the capybara and the maned wolf.
Marine pack: I think this dlc would not be possible because in my opinion it does not go with the idea of a zoo, but it would be more for an aquarium.
Australian pack 2:unfortunately I do not think they will get second parts of the current dlcs, but i would love to have wombat, tree kangaroo and platypus. I'd trade the echidna for the tasmanian devil.
European pack: I think they are good choices.
Asian pack 2:like I said before I don't think there are second parts, but I would like them to include the takin, the tanuki and the cobra.
Madagascar pack:just like the marine pack I don't think we'll see this.

I'd absolutely buy all of these. Some predictions on a couple of things - if we get the packs at all - I think it's very unlikely we'll get a raccoon and a Cougar (aka Mountain Lion/Puma) is almost a certainty, just like you noted.

I don't know if we'll get a full on second pack for Australia and South America, but what if they there was a pack that combined the two and gave us two animals each?
Finally I'd be surprised if we don't get another otter somewhere - Asian Small clawed would be the most likely I'd think.

I love the idea of joint packs, at least we would have a couple more animals of the great biodiversity that both continents have.

I love your reasoning!
I agree completely :)

yes I feel like if there's only two more years of content, at this speed, they won't devote another whole pack to either region, and I honestly wouldn't want them to either, but they could give us a couple of the other more notable missing animals in there. Of course, I'd be fine if they continued for support for 5 or 6 years and put out 2 more packs that were fully for each continent, but I'm trying to be realistic. I think giving us a Capybara for sure, and either the Sloth/Maned Wolf, and then the Tasmanian Devil and either a Wombat/Grey Kangaroo/Platypus would work. Though they could work these animals in another way. Gosh, there's just so many animals i want to see, at the current release speed and amount, we're looking at maybe 30-45 animals left tops and that includes exhibit animals - it's not enough!

I honestly believe that the game will receive dlcs until next year, then it will only be maintenance. It would be good if this year they change the format of 4 animals and an exhibition, in addition to publishing a roadmap or something that gives us a clue about what they are working on. I totally agree with what you say and I think that many animals are not going to be included but it would be nice if there is more content.

I agree with all that. I've said before, if we only get content through this year (3 more packs) I'll be really disappointed. I'm expecting it to run through the end of next year (6 packs) with the outside chance maybe we'll get more through 2023 (7-9 packs) Anything past that I would be extremely surprised. I do hope that maybe they've got most of the main rigs they want to use down (with a few exceptions of course) and they can put out content faster or with more animals. Even if it's just an extra animal or two per pack, or an extra pack a year. I love this game and I love the animal content i just have huge want list, that I know won't realistically all get in the game, but I'm kind of sad thinking we may likely see only 30 animals. And then you throw in birds in there and fully marine animals - that would be a huge chunk as well. I mean, I look at the pictures from the first post, that's 10 packs so 50 animals alone and still leaves me wanting. But, such is the gaming world, nothing last forever and we know that going into the game. 3 years of content support is normal.

The best thing they can do in my opinion is to change the model of 4 animals and an exhibition, add one or two more animals. That's without taking into account the reskin like the arctic wolf.
I have not played planet coaster, but I have friends who do and they have told me that the dlcs had so much stuff that you could create a whole new park just with the dlc content. On the other hand, planet zoo dlcs are very small and you can use all the content in less than a week.
In my opinion, the focus of construction and design has to change, which is very good and it is surprising if it is done by a pro player, to the animals, because in a zoo game that is what matters most.

I agree another couple of animals would help. I wouldn't mind reskins if they were in addition to the packs or the space in the packs. And I realize they still take some work, and some modification, but one can't make me believe that - this is just one example - it will take as much work to bring the White Rhino to the game as it would the Meerkat. The longer the game goes one, the more rigs there would be. A mustelid (low to the ground heavily built animal - badgers, skunks perhaps, wolverine) , a large rodent (porcupine, beaver, capybara, and they could probably add the tasmanian devil and wombat even though they're not rodents, the builds are similar enough) , a small cat (lynx, clouded leopard, ocelot, ) and the oddballs like Meerkats, Platypus and Sloths that (if made and of the three, the Meerkat is the only one I'm convinced they'll see as a "must" to add in) would be one and done uses most likely. Taking out fully marine animals and flying animals, that's mostly all that really needs to be done. Hopefully as the game goes on we get those rigs and that could facilitate giving us more animals - and I realize I'm greatly oversimplifying and overgeneralizing it.

I would probably respectfully disagree about the building and construction focus, as there's definitely a place for that in the game and the community seems fairly balanced between those who like it all, those who like building more and those who like animals more (and I'm of the last group as I'm a horribly basic builder). I'd like to see the animals take more of a focus myself, and while I do think the animals are the stars of the game, it's also about creating a zoo - not just the animals but the world they live in, and the entire parks' look, and about the management of running a successful business that happens to be a zoo. Again, I'm more of a player who enjoys the animals the most, but I'm trying to see it from the other point of view as well.

I hate to say it but at the rate they are going with the limited animals per pack they are loosing people from playing this game. They focused on these timed missions NO ONE asked for or wanted. I enjoyed the normal missions they made and now they are taking months to make these packs with over 100+ building pieces and only a few animals. This game is called Planet Zoo right and a zoo is about the animals not the buildings right? I was just at the zoo today and it was all about the animals and conservation of the animals not the buildings. They need to get the picture they are loosing players because their lack of animals not building pieces, that are frankly touchy to place anyways. I had the most fun finishing the missions and then when a pack comes out doing the missions with the new animals but we need new missions on timed missions and this 4 animal packs are not going to cut it these days. I am all for understanding how complex the motions and movements of the animals are but they can do 4 new animals and maybe three reskins per pack, sun bear (we ALL know is coming), is a reskin of the polar/grizzly bear. Which coming from a coding standpoint is easy to do frankly.

I agree with what the dlcs would have to have more animals. Regarding the sun bear, I do not think it is a reskin because it is the smallest bear that exists, while the polar bear is the largest land devour, so in my opinion it will have a new model.

In my opinion, the first DLC of this year will be that of Asia due to the leak of the Sun Bear.
The other two that are going to come out in 2021 in my opinion are the one in Europe or North America for August and at the end of the year the one in Africa, for the holidays and it is for the one that fans are most waiting for.
If I could choose, my ranking would be: Asia adding the takin, the tanuki and the cobra.
Africa as it is in the picture.
and Europe or North America with the changes mentioned in the post.

That’s very true. It is smaller but if you think about it when it comes to the Ostrich to Cassowary they move the same in the game and one is smaller then the other or the Dingo and the wolf. If you look at the files associated with these they move the same as their opponent. I think the sun bear will move the same as the polar bear or grizzly bear. Unless they have them climb trees.

I think your right but should we limit the animals like they are or should be we adding animals to our wish list to show Frontier we want more animals per pack? We know the Sun Bear is next for sure. I would prefer more packs this year then 2020. Or maybe open it so others can make animals for the game to. Like they did in Zoo Tycoon.

I agree that we should have more dlcs than in 2020 and also showing Frontier that we want more animals in each dlc, but I think Frontier has made a decision that will not change. And I say this because of the little communication on the part of the company with its players. They could show us what they are working on to get our opinions and they don't. On the other hand, we only know the issue of the dlc a week before it comes out, when maybe if we knew a few months before it would generate more expectation.
The players are the ones who would have to unite and demand that the company add better and more varied content, and not just reskins and two new animals for each dlc.

Haven't the community done that already? I'm acctually suprised to see so little response from Frontier. But haven't been on the forum for that long so can't really tell.

Just look on the threads about more animals, so many have contributed with suggestions. So many suggestions for packs etc.

But as you said, since Frontier don't seem to give out information in advance or ask for feedback from the community I don't think they'll change their minds on how they are going to proceed with their DLC and updates. They've made a decision.

Can you do the aviary pack?
1. Bald Eagle
2. Scarlet Macaw (Alternative: Blue-and Yellow Macaw)
3. Peregrine Falcon (Alternative: King Vulture and Andean Condor)
4. Great Hornbill (Alternative: Toco Toucan and Keel-billed Toucan)
5. Laughing Kookaburra (exhibit)

Hello, how did I fix it above, I did not make the images, but I found them interesting and I wanted to share them.
On the other hand, I would not have so many hopes that they will put flying birds, since the company is very closed in its business model, which does not seek to innovate at all. So we will still only have 4 animals per dlc, most of them reskins. I hope I'm wrong and they show me the opposite.

Lmao savage but preach! I completely agree, you wait four months and get four animals and a box...and one of those animals is a reskin.
