So watching the VOD, they said "I think walking up the stairs into your ship for the 1000th time would get old" Here , but they dont think running to a mission giver npc would be the same? Bit of corporate disconnect there
yeah its like "heres the mechanic we did that we want you to like, but the mechanic you wanted we didnt do, so letsThey said that? Wow.
Well, i think at this point it is what it is, so we have to find what appeals to us as individuals and move on.
Forums seem really quiet the last few days.
yeah its like "heres the mechanic we did that we want you to like, but the mechanic you wanted we didnt do, so letson that, even tho they are incredibly similar mechanics"
And then a little further on they say "to me it seems a normal transition" really??? what could be more epic than running down a gangway or back up into your ship with a squad? instead of [fade to black]
I hope you don't believe ship interiors would take 1-2 months. The video was solid, but I'd have prefered to have waited one or two more months and to get ship interiors. That'd have made it even better.
I hope you don't think a team of 50~100 developers would need much more than that to design it.I hope you don't mean that believe ship interiors would take 1-2 months.
I do. But neither of us work for FDev so it's a moot point. Also apologies for my unreadable post. It's been a long dayI hope you don't think a team of 50~100 developers would need much more than that to design it.
It absolutely would. Creating interactive interiors for enormous, mobile entities in a multiplayer galaxy is no small feat.I hope you don't think a team of 50~100 developers would need much more than that to design it.
Not really absolutely; That is a word too strong. It of course depends on how detailed and how interactive ship interiors would be.It absolutely would. Creating interactive interiors for enormous, mobile entities in a multiplayer galaxy is no small feat.
thats the dumb thing - if they had made it like open hatch, walk along a corridor to cockpit and say more is coming later most people upset at this fade to black mechanic would have been happy, but saying "its more traditional" to fade to black is just aNot really absolutely; That is a word too strong. Indeed. Such a simple system certainly doesn't need more than 2 months for 50+ developers to come up with.thats the dumb thing - if they had made it like open hatch, walk along a corridor to cockpit and say more is coming later most people upset at this fade to black mechanic would have been happy, but saying "its more traditional" to fade to black is just a![]()
Clearly. That's why they've written it out all together I suppose, being such an easy and quick taskIndeed. Such a simple system certainly doesn't need more than 2 months for 50+ developers to come up with.
Or maybe it's for the same reason they stopped doing bug fixes months (years?) agoClearly. That's why they've written it out all together I suppose, being such an easy and quick task
I thought it is reference to Elite 1. That is start screen of the first ever Elite :/ Or very close to it.![]()
'Load new ship hologram? [Yes / No]'
Seems the most likely to me ¯\(ツ)/¯
The curved look to the 'on foot' mission menu from the different contacts made me think of how VR looks when viewed on a flat screen. Like when somewhere YTs their VR gameplay and you watch it in nonVR
Too much work/laziness? So we agree thenOr maybe it's for the same reason they stopped doing bug fixes months (years?) ago![]()
