New Planet Tech is KILLER of Exploration (all terrain is tiling/repeating/not procedural/random)

The Forum is for players to interact with one another? And you're going to magically make it work here by... branding people as white knights, minorities, and generally being bawly? Meh!

Wait, you're a doomsayer now?!
Some kind of self association. Weird. Time for a nice cup of Brownian Motion Generator to plug into the Infinite Improbability Drive.

Come to think of it, may the surfaces of planets should be designed based on the type of drink you happen to be holding in your hand when you land in the system, so long as you don't spill said drink unto your pants (if you are still actually wearing pants!)

Nope, just a bit fed up from both sides arguing the same over and over again instead of helping find new samples, perhaps discuss them and finally add to the corresponding tickets so both sides can enjoy a better game in the end :)

I know, unpopular opinion...
Felt a bit like opening the door to a pre-school fight...

Hmm, i'm assuming this isn't off-topic at all, so it must be a symbolic representation of the planet tech issue i'm sure we're all trying to focus on. No doubt Horizons' planets are represented by the guy with the bigger fish.
The guy with the small fishes is one trying to convince the other guy that nothing is working and that no-one could possible play or enjoy the game in the state it is in - which is the premise of the title of this post.

The guy with the big fish is me swiping away that assessment in one stroke.

There are some things wrong, as it was wrong at the start of ED, ED:H, ED any other. None of it breaking... well, it broke some people's play style based on unrealistic planetary tech that no-one ever promised them wouldn't change. What was promised was a realistic simulation of a 1:1 scale of the galaxy, of which Odyssey is one sttep closer to achieving - once they iron a few things out.

Exactly this condescending bickering is off topic. Most people here are not discussing the intentions just the obvious flaws.

We have issues, and we want them fixed, so we can enjoy the game better.

If you don't want the game fixed, then open your own thread and complain about that.

Well that's proveably wrong in at least two ways, firstly the premise of the thread is that many explorers no longer enjoy exploring when they know they're going to find copy/paste topography all over the galaxy, not that NO-ONE will enjoy it, and this has been shown to be the case or the thread itself wouldn't exist. Secondly you obviously enjoy and love Odyssey, so at least one person does, enough i might say to go out of your way to dismiss others complaints with poor attempts at passive-aggressive humour.
