Extinct animals

Planet Zoo is not Zoo Tycoon.
People is this forum seem to really hate the idea of extinct animals, even ones that went extinct in the modern epoch. Do people really think that thylacines and woolly mammoths are closer to Triceratops and Stegosaurus than to zebras and bears?

That's a completely different argument to what they're talking about. The game clearly has limited amounts of dlc to come, and most people would rather be able to create an actual zoo than an extinct sanctuary. I'm sorry that there are people who'd prefer a moose over a dodo.
Yes, because most people want to build realistic zoos with animals they have actually seen or know they could see in actual zoos.
I mean, thylacines were actually quite common in zoos back before they went extinct. The only reason why they still aren't around is arguably because of the poor standards of zoos back then. We know better now, and I think having them in Planet Zoo would help send that message home.
Yeah, no they weren't - they were in a handful of Australian zoos, and the reason they still aren't around is because they were hunted to extinction due to being blamed for attacking sheep. They went extinct on the mainland due to a combination of that and competition with dingoes, the latter of which started before colonisers arrived in Australia.
I'm saying this as someone who has the thylacine in his top five favourite animals list, it shouldn't be in the game. I'd love if we could include some education material on it, maybe a statue in memorandum, but not the animal itself.
although i am a extinct animals fanboy, I am against they in pz, and i have some motions like:
How exactly they should come to the game? i mean, we adopt then like normal animals or we clone them, if we clone them, why they don't go as a expansion pack for Jurassic world evolution 2, since they match more there.
also why we need extinct animals? i mean we still have so many interesting and magnificent current animals who doesn't are in the game like armadillos, porcupines, honey badger, sloths, coatis, raccoons, Sealions , baboons, gaur, alligator turtle, beavers and many more. after all why we need a mammoth or a sabertooth cat, when they could fit perfectly in another frontier game but not in this one, and e have so many other animals to explore.
in short,leave the extinct animals to JWE2, and the current ones from PZ,

You're wrong about this. There's a List of Zoos that kept the Species on the German Wikipedia Page (don't know why they didn't also add it to the English one)

Would like to see something like this. Would be perfect for my Australian Zoo which already has a Thylacine Cinema next to the old Thylacine Enclosure.
I’d love it too - would go perfectly in my Beaumaris (Hobart) Zoo build (imagining the zoo never closed). I got the trrrsin fairly close while I was living there. I have a blank version of the map saved. if anyone’s like me to upload it to the workshop?
Sounds like a cool Idea. If it is a Version of the Zoo how it could be today, this Statue would be perfect to place it in Front of the old Thylacine Enclosure. Would love to see it
