State of the Game

They make "cheese" in tube. OFC they'd do "bacon" in tube. Those monsters even do veggie bacon. There are no limit to the atrocities some people are willing to commit against gastronomy.
This.... "thing" :

Hmm...
If I wanted to eat vegetables, I would make/order some salad.
If I wanted to eat bacon, I would make/order... bacon.
Yes, surprising and shocking.

Now excuse me, but eating vegetables and calling it bacon is so hardcore delusional,
I would call some professional help if I ever did something that mental with any other purpose then some prank or joke.

And I did my share of bizarre things in my life.

You don't get out too often, do you? :)

Wait, I recalled a similar "damn schizos" reaction to some banner on a vegie restaurant/shop near my house.

It was something like:

VEGE SUSHI.
WHO NEEDS FISH ANYWAY?!

Well, apparently they/their customers,
so desperately, that they name their... salads "sushi" and pretend that it's (almost) the same.

It's not.
You are eating damn salad in sushi form.
Why go vege if you can't face the simple fact, that you WON'T eat sushi or bacon anymore?

A few years ago I visited a friend, (yes I have one!) for the evening, she made pease-pudding (with bacon stock) as one of the dinner sides...
Her daughter arrived, saw the pot, grabbed a good helping and wolfed it down, declaring it to be the best she'd tasted in years!
Said daughter is a vegetarian... My friend didn't have the heart to tell her ;)

And that's the problem! I grew up in farming country, been on farms with sheep, cows and pigs and I luuurve pigs - they're cool characters, super bright, cheeky, love a good scratch, all round amazing animals... but they taste so damn good....

We used to have 5 sheep (grass cutters) and a heap of chickens & Muscovy Ducks...
The Muscovy were a 'bit busy' and produced way too many offspring... Each Summer (for 3 years) I had the task of "dealing with them" and a few days later transferring duck [censored word representing the chest muscle] to the freezer... 22 one year...

really censored?!? Love this algorithm! bearing in mind the meme theme, I discovered pu55y was a banned word as well...! 🤣
Again though, can't argue duck really shouldn't taste so nice as a survival evolutionary trait...

because it is sometimes nice to enjoy familiar foods without slaughtering an animal... now stop bashing vegetarians

No meanness intended, my friend. You'd be as bad as me!
Borko hasn't sanctioned pineapple on pizza so he's both wrong and clearly hates hawaii.

Nah I was only kidding ;)
I certainly think he hates hawaii though, and by association The Rock - i am going to phone Dwayne and tell him.

Yeah, imagine using a different language than English. Go translate "shower" and "late" in French on google. You'll see an issue I was confronted to a few times already in forum/game.
Bonus point if you use them both in the same sentence.

I absolutely understand reasons behind going vege.
I feel bad about eating animals occasionally.
If there was synthetic meat, even twice or whatever factor more expensive then "animal sourced" and it would taste similar enough, I would choose it as long as I could afford it.

But one of basic truths about life we need to learn as soon as possible,
is that the real problem with choices in life is not really the option that we choose,
it's that we have to accept that we are leaving something behind, removing from our life, sometimes forever without option for a "rollback", ever.

That said, I don't really think that every vege is delusional because he likes "vege bacon", it was exaggeration naturally.

But some seem to have problem with the very nature of choice I mentioned above.
