Newcomer / Intro SRV Premium Upgrades

I have a question...

If I get my hull damaged after a premium upgrade, how long does it last?

For example, if I get in my ship to repair the damage do i still have the premium
upgrade?

Or is it each time I deploy an SRV it with standard

It has been a while since I used it, but from what I remember, You drive it around and it gets shot up, and after a while, it is gone until you put more on it. I think it persists until it is used up, that is what I remember at any rate.

Seriously, I wonder which build did Fdev use to slap Odyssey onto. It wasn't the last one. I think it might have been an "Engineers" one or therebouts. Because a lot of bugs and glitches I remember from back then had resurfaced.

The whole thing reminds me of how Bethesda is releasing games. They take an old engine, they build a game on it with a lot of bugs, they have a launch, they start fixing the bugs, eventually bringing the game to playable state.
Then they start with the new game, but they don't take the improved, fixed version of the engine, no, they start building it on the original one so the new games starts with the same bugs the previous ones have and they have to fix it all again.
Dunno. I guess that's how they keep busy between releases. 🤷‍♂️
