To the Salty complainers... if you can't be constructive stop wasting the communities time by being part of the problem. Go play something else and return when you're in a better frame of mind... or don't....

Are you really sure asking everybody who isn't willing to sacrifice their integrity to give false praise to a company that has delivered a product that not in any way or shape resembles what was promised at time of sale, to leave is such a good idea? Given how the steam players weekly statistic has behaved? Do you really want a future where You, Malic and the CMs are the only persons left playing so they might as well shut down the servers and just leave a dell optiplex in a corner in Arf's office as the server because there aren't enough players left? Because that is actually what you're asking for. I know for a fact you're one if the "content creators". This post alone has ensured that I won't be setting foot in your twitch channel, and have in fact flagged it as "un-interesting" for twitch to reduce chances twitch suggests it to other viewers as well. Have a good summer.
 
There are already many threads concerning OD and bgs i started 1 in the past 2, they dont read them anyway, or they wouldnt have made these adjustments.

I think this adjustment is for a different reason personally and there have been tales of anarchy systems getting hammered already, made worse if effects are scaled up. It's a pretty complex picture so I imagine the idea is not to hit the BGS too hard in the first instance and look at a balance pass (which is what you're talking about and which is done in server without a client update anyway) once it's bedded in a bit more. Early days yet, with framerate and server crash stability errors still the priority.
 
Yeah I heard about this, but I thought the program that does it is against TOS as it changes in game assets or something?

However so far as I have been wandering around Shinny that the transparent glass, and the reflections really really tank the performance. I'm heading out to a settlement now and checking what the surface is like. It's better but not optimal. I just really hope that they still push patches and hotfixes between now and Console Release.
I never read TOS so I wouldn't know. :) Stuff like this is fine though, FD dont mind if we debug their game...
 
There is a new issue when I reconnect after a Mauve Adder, Taupe Cobra or Teal Cobra: if my ship is landed on a planet, upon reconnection it will still be on the ground, but with its engines on and ready for take off.
If I am on board I have to retract the landing gear and redeploy it to land.
If I am on foot, on the other hand, I have no access to it, so I have to dismiss it and recall it (and auto landing upon recalling on foot isn't always succesful).

Edit: after the latest disconnect I've found myself on foot with my ship having its engines on whilst landed (therefore I was unable to embark) so I dismissed it and recalled it. For four times in a row, the ship has come back, deployed its landing gear, stood idle for a few seconds and then departed without even trying to land (on a very flat area).

I had to relog into Horizons to get back to my ship (after killing Odyssey with the Task manager).

Transparent Glass in stations/settlements are really really intensive. It completely tanks the frame rate really quickly. What option in the graphics settings to be able to turn this down to help it?

I'm feeling that transparent Glass is a big one to fix for optimisation for performance.
I wonder if the reflections on the helmet (glass) are one reason why the performance tanks 🤷‍♂️

That's NOT new......happened to me yesterday, just as you described as I was on foot.

Maybe because the engine didn't even had "glass" before. The ship cockpit isn't same "glass" texture as the ones we have now in settlements and in social areas in hubs and such. Therefore it is the first time it used in game
 
Hey VR folks, sorry to be the bearer of bad news on this one but the DSS fix didn't make it in. We thought we had the fix ready for this Update but it still needs some more work. Apologies.
I cant‘t believe it! This is a real shame! Frontier proves that they absolutely don‘t care for players like me who enjoyed this game for many years and played it for thousands of hours. It‘s absolutely disrespectful! Playing this game as I did before is all I‘s like. I really don‘t care for space legs and first person pew pew.
It seems to me that after many years the time has come to say goodbye to this game …
 
I have been to 3 stations in different systems and the on-foot mission board in each had zero support missions. Has anyone seen a support mission since the patch?

1. love the % below the shields
2. Love the change made to the Neutron stars

Shadow issues and seams on planets still exist. Oh and the gamma setting seems way too much. Thought you should know
Just watched this video o_O

Where are the stars when you zoom out of the planet?
