Moderators - Policy Question

Is it still the policy that a Moderator that posts into a thread in a non-Moderating capacity sheds their status as a Moderator within that thread?

I would like to know if a Moderator can delete whole threads because I have seen threads disappear that I have posted in.

I'm not a mod obviously but @Chrystoph - your question has been answered by at least one mod recently and yes, it is the case. As for @Red Rocket yes threads can be nuked by a mod.

Pretty much, yes. We would still moderate something like zero-tolerance stuff, but generally we are not permitted to moderate a thread where we are actively engaged in the discussion.

If the first post is deleted, then a whole thread is also gone.
