A Kickstarters thoughts on how to Fix Elite.

Please go on?
If he would play more, what make you think he would not try to please the shareholders?
Not in need to keep the schedules?
Not having devs that are completely overworked, trying to develop on an old not userfriendly engine?

Even if he played more, there would be the not well working invention of the women with the deep voice (forgot her name).

They are struggeling to fix it. lets hope.

And be honest, Elite is not the casual cashcow like the other games.
Nonetheless it is his baby. And lets be glad, that Frontier is well enough to feed the baby.
I don't think the company could last with just Elite alone.
But I don't know.

I am happy Braben is running the company, rather than playing games...
...so we can play them.

I appreciate you going in depth. I feel different. I can't help think after spending dozens of hours playing organically at the very least he would care about his baby a little more and make "many changes and improvements".

Sometimes the best way to appease share holders is to make an amazing product everyone wants. To have actual value and trust instead of a thin veneer and to have to lie and manipulate perception to make people buy your product.

I can't speak for anyone but I think I was a whale as much as a typical Elite player could be. Shipkits bought for all ships I enjoyed flying. Many paint packs. Simply being honest and releasing a paid early access or alpha would have kept most of my goodwill.

I don't appreciate being lied to or bait and switched especially after six years of being a loyal benefit of the doubt giving customer. Even worse than all that is having hope for what the game could be crushed into nothing.

But yeah I think him and devs playing this thing and being at the mercy of what they have designed could have made today's game very different.

I think women with deep voices are oustandingly good inventions.

You must be David Braben.

No seriously.
15kh... damn thats a lot.
That is nearly two years of your life.
In a game that has been released 7 years ago.

I am deeply impressed.
Between 6-10hrs a night in VR yeh, often more. 15k hours soon adds up over 7yrs. If you enjoy a game that is. Recently. 0hrs. They failed to deliver on ODDyssey, they broke the game and ruined the VR experience. My time and money is now going into another space sim thats coming along VERY nicely. Shame FDev didnt and wont listen to its player base.

I always thought Braben plays the game.
