Lego Asp Scout (UCS minifig 1:96ish scale) update

Its not dead :D Been doing a lot of experimentation and also started on the outer hull:

I do swear the next Lego model I do is going to be a box full of boxes :D
 
That thing is nuts. How do you move a lego construction of that size? Can it be picked up safely?
Its very solid, it can be picked up quite easily. The problem is its too wide for doors and to go through you have to 'bank' the model (which, is scary).

The only difficult parts the the outer panels on the wings- to get those angles I have to use extensive joint systems which are not load bearing.

My son had Lego 10178 (motorised AT-AT walker) when he was younger, it has a rather neatly integrated carry handle built in. Have a look at book 2 of the instructions, page 54 onwards, you might be able to integrate something similar into the top spine?

I did think about carry handles, the problem is to make it strong enough I'd have to integrate them into the technic superstructure and have them all over- its so wide I don't think one in the middle would be enough to prevent problems on the outer edges. Saying that- I could have slots for carry straps (that go underneath) instead. That would even the load I think.
