Really the only species I wouldnt give a crap if they were cut are Nodosaurus, Pentaceratops, Tsintaosaurus, Gigantspinosaurus, Ankylodocus, and Majungasaurus
Really don't get all the hate for Gigantspinosaurus... it's easily one of the most unique stegosaurs in the game. If anything I would have figured Chunkingosaurus would get trashed, since it's basically the far more recognizable Tuojiangosaurus in everything but name.Really the only species I wouldnt give a crap if they were cut are Nodosaurus, Pentaceratops, Tsintaosaurus, Gigantspinosaurus, Ankylodocus, and Majungasaurus
Welp, my work here is done!Call it a hunch, but the answer is probably "we have nothing to say about that right now" or some such response.
To be fair to the paleontologists, it goes have some pretty big spinesGigantspinosaurus sounds like some bigger species of Spinosaurus
This I actually think is a good idea, although I disagree with some of your ideas of what should be more/less aggressive. Id actually say Triceratops should be THE most aggressive ceratopsid, along with Pachycephalosaurus more aggressive than Stygimoloch. And I see Euoplocephalus as more openly friendly, where Ankylosaurus is more likely to ignore anything that doesnt get in its wayI would just love to see at least one gentle big herbivore, like Stegosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Triceratops, Brachiosaurus, Ankylosaurus, and they all have a very VERY VERY dangerous and aggressive smaller family-member in the game that is just as bad as any carnivore, like Kentrosaurus, Styracosaurus, Amargasaurus, Stygimoloch, and Euopcephalus.
The only exception to this rule are the hadrosaurs, which are the other way around, the smaller the more gentle, and the bigger (Shantungosaurus) the more aggressive. I love aggressive Herbivores, just make them up like the frill of Dilophosaurus, in ARC there are very aggressive Kentrosaurus for example, and most things with spikes are probably aggressive in defense. I always seen Styracosaurus as the more aggressive variant of Triceratops.
Aside from the dinos first appearing in Dominion within the film series, which I covered already earlier in this thread, another idea which I just came up for those that won't be in the game at launch are the hybrids (with some exceptions). Will all of the Dinosaurs from the first game return? Or have some of them been removed?
I feel like you may be overthinking things... there's nothing that says they can't add hybrids if they or Universal wanted to. Plus, it's not like this game sticks entirely to the canon... and there are clearly fans of hybrids willing to pay for more of them.Aside from the dinos first appearing in Dominion within the film series, which I covered already earlier in this thread, another idea which I just came up for those that won't be in the game at launch are the hybrids (with some exceptions).
From what I can tell so far, Jurassic World Evolution 2 is taking a similar approach as Jurassic World: Dominion, which is putting a more focused emphasis on the real dinos, particularly the game's campaign. Plus, it takes place just after the events of Fallen Kingdom, and while the technology and knowledge for creating hybrids do remain possible in-universe of the film series, it doesn't seem like hybrids will be something anytime soon within the near future of the growing timeline, the same range in where this game will be set.
Still, the only hybrids I can think of that would be returning are the Indominus rex and the Indoraptor, only because they are staple and central elements within the JW trilogy. But the only probable placement for them that I can currently think of is Chaos Theory mode (and Sandbox when unlocked there), assuming that said mode is anything what I currently think it is like, until more information on it comes.
Indominus rex and Indoraptor are guaranteed to be in the base game thanks to the Chaos Theory game mode, which has levels set across eras and locations from all five films. If we’re revisiting these films in a “what if” scenario, then the two hybrids are all but officially confirmed.PLEASE NO! Hybrids suck so much, especially the triceratops/stegosaurus and apatosaurus/ankylosaursu bull, please NO. Keep those places reserved for actual dinosaurs, I don't mind hybrids like Dilophosaurus, the invisible Carnotaurus and Spinosaurus, but real hybrids like Indomus rex and that stuff, please release them in a expansion that I don't have to buy.
The two are what I consider possible for Chaos Theory, escape especially the Indominus. Main campaign wise, I don’t know because of what is currently known about the setting and direction it’s going, and misc. “game only” hybrids for it, and not any of the two staple JW trilogy hybrids, feels pretty odd if you ask me. Even if they are unlocked exclusively in Chaos Theory, if it is anything what I currently have in mind, it’s unknown if any of them can be placed in the main campaign like the first game’s RTJP’s compies and pteranodons.Indominus rex and Indoraptor are guaranteed to be in the base game thanks to the Chaos Theory game mode, which has levels set across eras and locations from all five films. The new raptor is Atrociraptor as confirmed by Trevorrow, but I do agree that they, along with the new dinos, will probably be a post release free update similar to the Fallen Kingdom Update in the first game.If we’re talking about the dino roster at launch (maybe including Day 1 DLC dinos, if any), my one and only best guess right now is none of the dinos that are having a first appearance in Jurassic World: Doninion will not be there when the game releases, not until Dominion starts to come out, to represent their authentic film designs.
(The known ones so far)
1. Giganotosaurus
2. Dreadnoughtus
3. Iguanodon
???4. Deinonychus (some rumors say the new raptor renders for Dominion are Deinonychus, but nothing is officially specified just yet)
That having "too much species from the same category" is inevitable.Yes, and what are trying to say?
We already know that
When did Trevorrow confirm them to be Atrociraptor? The new raptor is Atrociraptor as confirmed by Trevorrow, but I do agree that they, along with the new dinos, will probably be a post release free update similar to the Fallen Kingdom Update in the first game.
They're pretty much confirmed, thanks to GamingBeaver.I was a big fan of Stegoceratops and Ankylodocus, so seeing them back would be great news!
