Newcomer / Intro FSD Boost on PS4 not working

Hi , im encountering following problem: inot able to aply the level 3 fsd boost on a ps4.
on a longer rout 5kly it stops at 51% calculating, if i use a shorter one around 300ly it doesn't apply, it always uses the regular ship range.
anyone has an idea ?

Because, IIRC, the FSD boosts never worked with plotting multi-jumps - or at least that's how i remember it working on XBox
So, apply the fsd boost and select your destination and jump

FSD Boost (a.k.a. Jumponium) is a single jump boost - you can't use it to calculate a route.
The failure to calculate a 5 kly route is most likely something else - no jumpables inbetween, or a permit locked sector blocking your way.

Hello.
I take it that you refer to the Guardian FSD booster in size 3?
Which will add a fixed value (a bit less than 8 LY) to your standard jump range.

It might be that your overall jump range still is below the minimum requirement for parts of the route. For example when you target HIP 33601 (El Dorado), you need at least a jump range of 38LY at the sector border.

Or did you perchance set your route calculation to economic?

I had no such issues with the (size 4) G.FSD booster in my DBX (then equipped with the standard long range 5A FSD) when I made the 5.000LY voyage for Professor Palin.
Worked fine right from the start, the ship had about 55LY jump range and the route was calculated correctly, no interruptions or errors. Some 150 jumps one way, AFAIR.

The only issue was recently, when I went to the newly discovered guardian site behind the witch head nebula, I had to route right to the border to Shenve, then pick my way through (or around) the nebula from there, targetting the guardian site directly did not work.

As for longer routes, I recommend using the Spansh neutron route plotter (you do not need to use the neutron star jumps, though, as this risks the integrity of the drive).
This will give you a list of waypoints you can transfer in the PS4 ED galaxy map by using the "PS remote play app" on a laptop.

Erm... no... not really.

It's about Injecting your FSD drive with a special cocktail of substances (sic!) to get a one time increased range.
There are 3 levels for this.
Level 1 using a minimal amount of materials will provide a 125% increase for one jump
Level 2 using a moderate amount of materials will provide a 150% increase for one jump
Level 3 using a high amount of materials will provide a 200% increase for one jump.

So if your normal jump range is 50ly, a Level 3 injection will allow you a one time jump of 100ly

Here are more details

ah, sorry, yes i meant the synthesis. level3. ok, its only useable for one jump as i read from the poster above. sad thing , i can't click on a single star system at the ps4. i can only search the names and the use the route function. so this is something for the pc players

are u sure? Because I can "click" star using controller on PC (and I'm sure I could on horizonts too)
