It's cheaper than the zoo and I've said before personal circumstances allow me the opportunity to crap post with a degree of frequency. That being said if I stopped playing the game or Frontier did me dirty I'd be gone.

lovely to see, that you and other guys are fighting against customer who would like to spend money for the future of the game.

i spent month to give Fdev crap? Same crap that the whole community was giving last year? or the rude and highly toxic behavior of some cmdrs due to the CG FSD gate? Actually now that I saw that comment about consoles on todays stream I’m pretty certain that there will be no news on consoles. If you were sitting on info for a frustrated community that was going to be announced tomorrow, you wouldn’t be so emphatic about not having any information. Maybe their typical “no news” response or even just ignore it. Nope, that was way too passionate that there is no info for anything coming out tomorrow.

From reading the language on the Monday post, I suspect it’ll be a forum post not a live stream.
I also suspect it’ll be going through internal review upon review, upon review.
I don’t expect it to arrive until post 3pm uk (possibly nearer 5pm)

I expect it to reflect everything that Frontier have done to improve the Odyssey experience since launch for PC players,
dedicate a section to things to expect in next week’s update (multi-seat SRV)
And dedicate a section to fleet carrier walk-about, thereby fulfilling the comment ‘things coming next year’.

I expect the best console players will get is a passing line akin to ‘…Console players don’t worry, we hope to give you more information on the exciting things we have planned for console early in the new year…’

Hey, if it's any sign of life that the console people aren't being completely left out in the cold; the multi-limpet controller in Update 9, which is "new Odyssey content", is also coming to Horizons, which means it will be on consoles. In the (not confirmed in any way) event that the new SRV also happens to make it into Horizons in update 9? Then consoles would get that as well.

Which means that the "new Odyssey content" is actually just new content, where possible, and consoles are not being excluded from it. Same as how consoles were not excluded from the increases in module storage when that updated.

If consoles get the new SRV, that's a really clear and obvious sign (beyond also getting the multi-limpet controller), that "we have no news" actually does mean the plan is still "fix the stability issues with Odyssey, then set a new release window for consoles".

Frontier kept the macOS client in line with the rest of the base line game even after end of life was announced, right up to the point where a group of commanders, some of whom had contributed to the KickStarter stretch goal for macOS, were kicked out the game.

I never know what to think. I've been trying to work out, the statements where Arf prefaces it with "I'm being honest" , are those more, or less honest, than those that he doesn't? At least it keeps us guessing

What a bizarre thing to do, it suggests that unless Arthur prefaces information with 'I'm being honest' that information has no credibility.

Ok so Frontier's games are too 'niche' for console players. A bit of an old fashioned and limited world view IMO and one that I don't agree with

Well... sort of, yes.
And while you may disagree - the numbers prove otherwise.
ED failed to sell enough units on XB and on PS in the last 4-6 years. It is as simple as that.

So it seems indeed limited... by the sales (and not necessarily by my world view).

Now dont get me wrong.
I'm not saying that FD is a PC only company.
Between 2010 and 2013 they had 4 titles launched on XB360 and one on IOS and Wii U. Not a single one on PC
And my daughter really enjoyed Kinectimals which was a launch title in 2010 for Kinect/XB360.

ED just not getting enough traction on consoles.
And a failed EDO launch on consoles would not help anyone at all

The fact there's been no update on consoles all this time really should be taken as one thing: It's been wound down.

I said a few months ago that Xbox/PlayStation players should prepare themselves for the possibility of their platforms getting put on EoL. I stand by this advice.

You guys need to start accepting that your days with ED might be numbered.
