New SRVs can be dropped in like troops, what's so hard to imagine about that? And? Imagine you kill these NPC SRVs, what next? What will you do with troops?
If you can switch weapons on foot, you cant switch SRV just like that.
So it's literally useless for even multicrew play with friends.
They need to have a 2 vehicle bay so you can store a Scarab and a Scorpion in a #4 slot the way you can store 2 fighters in a #6 slot.
Nonsense, engineer upgrades don't use schematics. When you have built your own small Industrial settlement with building schematics, you can use the vehicle schematics at the panel in the IND building to manufacture new player-built SRV types. The ship schematics come in for the transport ships that your NPC crew fly to automatically supply selected stations and outposts.Makes you wonder if, y’know, an engineer might come along at some point that can tighten the jitter. Using something like… (checks inventory)… vehicle schematics?

One could take the logic of naval guns, which would need to find the range - they would make adjustments depending on whether the last salvo fell long or short, so maybe some software assist adjusts by seeing where the previous shots went.Every other game I play does the exact opposite - the first shot is your most accurate, with the spread increasing due to recoil (you know, like real life). I've never heard of a "reverse recoil" gun that gets better aim the longer it's fired. I suppose one might be able to offer some scientific explanation why a hot barrel is more accurate than a cold one (not my field, so I'm just making this up), but not to the extent of videos I've seen of this Scorpion.
OP's original post did not come across as "whinging," even if the thread title is a bit...egregious.First thing to keep in mind is that FD can, and probably will, tweak as feedback, not so much whingeing, comes in.
Whingeing was directed in the general direction of the playerbase's intitial reactions rather than the OP specifically. Your interpretation is your own but I recognise it may have been too ambiguous for some.OP's original post did not come across as "whinging," even if the thread title is a bit...egregious.
Just because you disagree with it doesn't make it invalid.
Well now you've done it. Three years from now we'll have people wondering where their DIY SRVs are, and when asked where they got such notions, they'll shrug and say "Was in one of the kickstarter videos I think..."Nonsense, engineer upgrades don't use schematics. Excellent design to me, with different strengths and weaknesses. Would also work really well in a wing, with two infantry supported by a Scarab focussing on the NPC infantry, and a Scorpion taking on the Goliaths and other skimmers. Scorpion could also function like a moving wall to hide behind when approaching the base.![]()
I like your ideas, but I'd have the manufacturing capability as an optional facility for fleet carriers. Much more useful mobile.Nonsense, engineer upgrades don't use schematics.
