I would have said everything you did right down to the settingsI went from the CV1 to the Rift S, and currently on a Quest 2.
The jump in quality from the CV1 to the Q2 is immense
Quest 2 has 3 manual positions for the lenses - the greatest separation is for people with an IPD between 66mm & 70mm.
Performance wise, I was running Horizons on a GTX 1080 without any issues with a game setting of HMDQ 1.25 and most settings at High/Ultra. Even at the default resolution the game is massively clearer than the CV1.
Also to note: the mandatory Facebook linked account thing is being dropped next year, if thatās the sort of thing that bothers you. It looks like weāre going back to the original Oculus account, but rebranded to the new Meta name.
I have the Link cable and ED is the only time I use it because Iām sitting and I actually only bought it because I was having issues with it when I bought it so it was for troubleshooting The ābig featureā of the Quest 2 is that it runs wireless over Wifi so no you donāt actually āneedā the cable also being able to run it at 120hz definitely helps in ED because Iāve noticed it doesnāt really a āvariable frame rateā so at stations it basically bottoms out at 60. So if youāre running the default 90hz that then becomes 45 which is definitely noticeable.
Oh as for the strap I ended up buying the BoBO V2 halo and was an absolute game change, totally balanced not feeling like itās pulling your face off on the original strap
