We don't talk about those backers.Ah, so you're saying CIG have put racists into their game?
How interesting.

Currently trying. Very difficult. Can anyone show me a video/screenshot of the aliens inside their ships' cockpits piloting their ships?
Well yeah. So has Paradox put racists into Stellaris, and the anti Xeno initiative in ED.... racist!
I can show you concept art of two vanduul pilots in a cockpit, but it's almost a metaphor for CIG's development.

You should be thanking DS, without him and the spite-pledging he inspired CIG would have been out of business years ago.Despite the fact that he spent many blogposts explaining how CIG would be bankrupt soon hahah
Makes their choice of an engine known for pretty rendered animations, but flaming garbage for making games in, seem a little bit more sensible, doesn't it?It's called bullshots. Made in engine, looks legit but not featured in the game. But highly suggestive to be featured in the game.
What else could they have picked in 2012?Makes their choice of an engine known for pretty rendered animations, but flaming garbage for making games in, seem a little bit more sensible, doesn't it?
And what advantage would these have broughtUnreal 4, Unigine, among others.
They can actually make the intended game. And what advantage would these have brought
And what makes this difference? Can UE4 defy physics? In what way are these engines programmed that they would have saved so much time and money using them? They can actually make the intended game.

Actually if you pretend to make a physically accurate simulation, you shouldn't have to defy physicsAnd what makes this difference? Can UE4 defy physics? In what way are these engines programmed that they would have saved so much time and money using them?
That is HIGHLY debatable, considering there's clear evidence that Star Citizen "simulates" space in CryEngine by using NoClip mode and placing everything in the underwater mode to imitate a lack of atmosphere in space, not to mention the scale problems due to the relatively small level size in the version CIG is using.Cryengine was fully capable of delivering S42, mores the irony.
And what advantage would these have brought
Some of our game code is still client authoritative, which means that players with high ping can adversely affect the play experience for everyone else. There’s not much we can do about this in the short term but it’s something we want to improve on after Server Meshing is working.
I think the correct term would be “ xenophobics”Ah, so you're saying CIG have put racists into their game?
