Are you suggesting that Sally has used her popularity on the forum to create some kind of coup to topple David Braben as CEO? Can't see Arf getting behind that.

Someone (Arthur perhaps) has decided that the community was so mean to FD last year that he's had enough of it and has decided to instigate a "Hello Games"-like zero communication policy for a few months to protect "his people" from us, just pushing out the updates but otherwise giving us nowt 'cos we don't deserve it. Sally strongly disagrees with this and has been doing what she can to keep things civil but has been given very little rope (or information) to do so with.
From recent comments by Zac (who's bemused by all this but otherwise happy to sit on the fence) it seems our period of detention may be coming to an end soon(ish).

While you're here if you don't mind me asking... when is this coming back, beyond 'soon' (tm)? The silence over the past few weeks (apart from covering patch 10) has been really weird to be honest. Giving a 'soon' TM because I don't have a concrete date for you right now - definitely on the...

Judging by the stock market report, management probably have them neck deep in rearranging plans for upcoming year, the old internal roadmap is in the bin, everything is in a state of flux, everything they'd had planned to share in January about the post-update-11 game is obsolete, and they don't want to say a peep about the new future until as much of it as possible is feasibility-studied and agreed upon.
I'd expect a mix of good and bad news, maybe weighted towards the latter.

In any case, if (and it did being fair) cross the line then CMs / mods should ban those who are being abusive- otherwise its 1950s headteacher collective punishment to spank everyone and not actually sort out the problem.

Well, starting soon after the NMS launch debacle, Frontier have alternated between periods of somewhat decent communication and then radio silence. Last year's period of communication was better than before (well, not as good as the 1-1.5 years after launch), but now with 2022, the cycle has come back and it's silence again. Hope it won't last most of the year.
I think they DO care. they just have a funny way of showing it sometimes.
