it definitely caused a lot of problems imo. to get it past KSer they made a lot of claims if they got funding and dangled a lot of features. The beginning of the end was Kickstarter.

As someone who had just started planning an expedition that would end in March of 2023, the day before the cancelation announcement, it would be nice to know this. I’ll finish what I started if there’s a point.
Yes, you are right, but we take R&D out as it is in reality investment, so it should not be part of operating income (as it is not part of cash flow from operations). There is a difference between accounting and reality of a business, and for a company that is is the tech space these adjustents are needed. They are part of the reasons fast growing companies always show a loss, that it actually virtual, but investors should actually be more wary if they post a profit with stalled development.

And give up the chance to spread more salt, hell noWell by all means leave.
Oh, you haven't experienced a fraction of the depths they can sink to.Holy I've never felt so disgusted by a dev as I am feeling with this situation right now.
What sorts of depths are these? Things such as not addressing whatever stuff you think they should have?Oh, you haven't experienced a fraction of the depths they can sink to.
Holy I've never felt so disgusted by a dev as I am feeling with this situation right now. Not only Fdev is absolutely shady and borderline useless but now they put the game on sale on the xbox store for 4 bux this is ridiculous.
I'm really quite happy that it's come to this...
Here's to hoping this could lean to better menu/ui/ux expertiences in the future as well... As a lot of that stuff has the bad smell of having been a compromise in order to have ui/menus that work for both consoles and PC... But which could have been more intuitive were you able to focus on the PC experience.
It was not cut from console to improve the PC development, it was cut from console because they couldn't deliver a proper experience there.I'm really quite happy that it's come to this...

Like porting a PC game on consoles ? Yeah, that's sure is ambitious. Nobody has ever done that before !What sorts of depths are these? Things such as not addressing whatever stuff you think they should have?
From my POV Frontier have had a constant and ambitious commitment to improvements and developments to the game since launch...
You mean a 10years old game for 4bucks ? Yeah, that kind of stuff happens.Selling a vast, sweet- space sim for 4bux? Surely these must be laws against doing such as vile and disgusting thing!?
Seriously, fella... Get a some perspective and a grip...
Sorry Erei but have you read the original post he responded to?Have the white knight dropped so low they need to praise Lord Braben for making discount on his game to sold more copies ? Next he'll be praised for having the game on Steam and Epic.
I wouldn't be so sure.Oh honey...
Next time Frontier needs a budget cut, what do you think is next to go, you think? Mh?
I'll give you a hint. It ain't the dinosaurs.
I wasn't aware that it was called Odyssey compatibility update, but I would guess that's because Odyssey and Horizons are still going to merge at some point regardless of consoles. So any idea why they would call the last Horizons update was a Oddesy compatibility update ?Do they honestly know what they are doing from one day to the next ?
Thinking more like the sexual harassment among Ubisoft's dev teams, or the possibility that Activision might have helped covered up a murder by one of their managers? What sorts of depths are these? Things such as not addressing whatever stuff you think they should have?
