What's the procedure?Direct message to community manager to escalate the feature request?
They need to investigate its priority.

Read my first post carefully. Are you in FDev team?I've not seen anything anywhere about what FDev stand to gain by this.
Something like this, I guessWhat's the procedure?
Sorry, internet forums don't work like that. You're basing a whole new project for them off '"I am sure"?Read my first post carefully. Are you in FDev team?
Please, if you don't like this idea don't leave any comments.
Calling it now - if they get a reply it will be "We have no plans to add an offline option for Horizons right now".Something like this, I guess

Describe the request, provide link to the forum thread, kindly ask for any feedback.
This looks like as an easiest solution now since that does not involve "rewriting everything".Best I could see happening is if some of the whales stump up for a privately run server.
Why do you do this? If you don't like an idea why you post such messages? Just pass by. Please.Calling it now - if they get a reply it will be "We have no plans to add an offline option for Horizons right now".
PLease. If you have nothing to add to offline topic don't post anything. We all got your point.
We discuss here how to get offline version, not why online is better on your opninon. No one is trying to get your onlline from you.
Thank you.
I don't mind if offline mode will be available for EDO also. % )Calling it now - if they get a reply it will be "We have no plans to add an offline option for Horizons right now".
It is. And I am ASKING you not to do that. Also I am asking why you do this. What's the point for you to tell that offline version is a bad thing while you have online? Anyone trying to force you to play offline? Why do you do that? You posted on a public forum.
You cannot shut down players expressing opinions on this forum, not unless you buy it.
The only thing you can do, if you dont want others people opinions, is to ask a mod to lock the thread.

The answer for Odyssey will also be "We have no plans to add an offline option for Odyssey right now". It's an easy one to predictI don't mind if offline mode will be available for EDO also. % )

There is a suggestions forum, or you can look up Frontier Developments address and contact them that way.Lets return to original topic. Is there any way to ask FD to release Horizons Offline? Any way to help them?
The request appeared to be one that asked for the current base game to be dropped offline - which would, as you mentioned, end up being a new product in terms of development.Remember you are trying to interest a company in producing a new product not a group of fans and hobyists.
Thank you for suggestion. That's exactly why I started my topic. There is a suggestions forum, or you can look up Frontier Developments address and contact them that way.
The best way to help them would be to produce the numbers that show that they could get enough sales for your proposed offline game at a high enough price per copy that they would recover their investment in time and money quickly enough to satisfy their investors. That would be based on a reasonable analysis not just counting people on the forum or in email who said they liked the idea.
Remember you are trying to interest a company in producing a new product not a group of fans and hobyists.
Let them play as usual. We are talking about NEW offline product. The request appeared to be one that asked for the current base game to be dropped offline - which would, as you mentioned, end up being a new product in terms of development.
But what would happen to the players who do not have the EDO expansion? Are they then forced to play offline? (I only mention this as the OP appears to consider that EDO is a game in its own right, rather than an expansion - even if currently client V4 incorporates horizons and is on a seperate launcher until such time as Frontier decide to make it standard)
Indeed, my error, carry on.Let them play as usual. We are talking about NEW offline product.
