I get this idea, but then wouldn't the koala be pretty much unusable too? And the same goes for the gibbon. The koala is a bit of a total mess so...
Can sloths be in the game? Yes, absolutely.
Should they be? That's another question entirely.
My koalas virtually never climb, when they should be spending the vast majority of their time just sitting in a tree not doing much of anything. If we got sloths behaving like that, they'd be pretty much unusable.
I think the dufference in that Koalas and Siamangs are supposed to spend most pf their time on trees, but they are capable of terrestrial movement and sometimes move on the ground.I get this idea, but then wouldn't the koala be pretty much unusable too? And the same goes for the gibbon.
While I think these animals should be improved regarding how often they portray each behaviour, it seems like a sloth can definitely be implemented, especially now that we have the new climbing frames, which I assume will be used for more animal-specific behaviours than just branchiation.
The koala almost is unusable because of this. The first time I used them I didn't have any issue - they climbed a lot. They still came down too often, but they spent most of their time climbing. Something changed, probably related to the gradually worsening climbing system, and now they don't climb at all really. My siamangs barely touch the ground so I'm not sure what you mean there (they only seem to come down in their shelter or to eat).I get this idea, but then wouldn't the koala be pretty much unusable too? I hope so. It would a pretty unique addition, but of course the rig will have to be modified and some new animations added. But i also want a sloth. The actuality of the situation is that the Koala rig worked surprisingly well for a modded sloth. The movements are pretty much all there, not to mention it actually helps that they gave the Koala swimming animations for some reason haha. I'm fairly confident in the fact that we can see a sloth in a DLC sometime in the future, hopefully before support ends. They're an extremely important and iconic zoo species as of late, and I think it would be doing a disservice to not include them.
That sounds perfect! They would come down only to mate, drink, and have offspring! That's a nice idea.
They will take 10 ingame years to climb any climbable structure. Maybe they could get a dedicated enrichment like the Koala, and just stay there for 99% of their lifespan.
Not always to be fair (Malayan tapir for example) but I agree that sloths could be done and done realistically too.PZ designers try always yo make the models and animations as realistic as they can.
