So...........(Spoiler inside)

Its amazing that the location of the proteus wave and the resulting thargoid anomaly are physical locations in the game. Cant wait to see what happens there next.

No way to get there, unfortunately.
max i could reach was 103km then suddenly i was at 10km/h running from 20 thargoids at once, so yeah it was a fun sightseeing while it lasted
the cry on the end of the cutscene + the emp still being active is what makes me hope there will be more content to this "finale" so it can be grand
but i could be full of copium at this point

as much fun as this all was, it still leaves a very large question

What became of the Guardian components used to kill the scientists at the Guardian/Thargoid/Human site?
aka
The Proteus and its dead crew did not die from a weapon similar to what Salvation just used.
They died from the release of the contents of the Guardian Key or maybe Relic.
I say the Key because of the way the Key is hidden away, as though it is severely dangerous...which it obviously is
But not soo much when you just use it as the crystal in a crystal transmitter - Witcherly!!!!
I have been trying for months to find a way to detonate a key.
Sad, using such advanced tech as though it were lego. that boy went down the rabbit hole and never saw light again., fool! And the bubble( Powers ) followed him. even worse.

no matter.
time for the powers to think for a change.
meanwhile, status quo.

I'd love to know the count for human ships destroyed from this stupidity.....I hope it was thousands.
carriers and/or megaships too?

ancient Thargoid expert : person who gets butt kicked as often as possible by attacking with face.

I've never even seen, let alone fought Thargoids before, and my experience of the content so far is...

Spoilers;

Everyone seems to be getting interdicted as they enter HIP 22460, this was my first meeting of them, a wing of 3, and they shut down my ship, before honking at me and flying off.

Upon arrival in system, your UI will glitch out and any Anti-Xeno gear you have will rapidly decay to 0 and break. This includes FSD boosters, so make sure you have the range to leave again.

There are wreckage fields about, and broken megaships. I went to Bright Wotsit to try and scan the data points, but whilst there a Thargoid dropped in, and disabled my ship entirely, then opened fire. But I've been a good boy with our insect bros! I drifted into the megaship hull, then eventually got control back, and saw my hull was already down to 60%. As I've not fought before and wasn't sure what to do, and had no AX weapons working anyway, I just legged it. By the time I leapt out of system and back to my own Carrier nearby for repairs, I was down to 32% hull; I am not sure what kind of Thargoid attacked me and if it was particularly deadly, but I don't think it was anything special.

The system chat was especially toxic, with people expressing complaints and then being trolled by people who have mistaken making a purchase with having a personality. There were rumours of a "Thargoid Mothership" but it could just also be trolling. Wait for verified information before you go in, but my suspicion is one clever way to timegate the content so anyone can see it is to break everyones AX stuff and prevent them fighting the Thargoids at all.

I asked if anyone was trying with the standard weapons, but got no answer. I presume it's still largely impossible with out AX?

Basically, dont worry so far folks, I'm not seeing anything that HAS to be seen immediately after launch. However the cut scene that launches when you first log in doesn't seem, as far as I can tell, to appear in your Codex or elsewhere, so don't skip it, or youtube it if you miss it in game.

I specifically docked on a megaship outside the system because this was predictable.
Yeah, well I specifically wanted to see what would happen when docked at Bright Sentinel.

I was kicked off the megaship and into the instance, and watched an interceptor jump in and take an interest in me. All while my display was glitching and my Guardian compenents went offline. A nice bit of disorientation and transition off of something that looks undockable.

Disorientated and then picking up the pieces while trying to work out what I needed to do next...

Well, that was fun. Coincidentally I parked my ship on the Birght Sentinel, so when I logged back in after the update and saw the video clip, I thought I'd spawn somewhere else -
as it was, I spawned near the Bright Sentinel (now obviously a bit less inviting), first without energy, after the usual 30 seconds or so it came back. I was going to collect some of the materials floating around when some bigger (well-known) Thargoid ship appeared and gave me another 30 seconds to re-consider my life's choices - I then just hit the booster and activated my FSD and parked on the Musashi now.

All a bit unclear now.

Yep, sadly for us console players the only "Content" if you even call it that are "Debris Fields" that well...aren't exactly working.

Shame the good stuff is locked behind a pay wall. Literally a paywall (as in, decent pc and the purchase of Odyssey)

Is there something else I missed??
