Sorry for dragging up an older subject here, but I was wondering if there has been any further developments with regards to the AA.
I have been on console for a long time, and have recently moved to PC . I am now awaiting CMDR transfer whilst playing about with a temporary character in Odyssey. My first thoughts have been very positive overall which has left me pleasantly surprised.
What has also surprised me, but not in a good way, is just how jagged and shimmery some things look. I have tried all kinds of tweaks and setting as suggested by others, but even pushing SS up to 1.5 and above does little to help and really hits the FPS. The AA seems far worse on PC than the console version even (though this may be more of a Horizons vs Odyssey issue).
I was on an xbox one x, then an xbox series x. I am now running a 3080ti GPU and a i9 12900k CPU with 32GB DDR5 5200 memory. I'm not very clued up with modern PCs but I believe that I have a pretty solid spec.
This is displaying on a 55" 4K 120Hz TV for both console and PC. It looks amazing all in all, but those horrible jaggies and shimmers are really hard to ignore.
I have compared ED:O to other games such as Death Stranding and MSFS, both running at good FPS in 4K, and for me (my own personal opinion), getting the AA up to a similar standard would make a huge difference in the visual experience of ED.
Sorry if this is a dead topic, but being new on the PC side I decided to chime in. I have also voted on the bug report but all seems to have gone quiet on the issue.
