Queue jump lol. As if. How many will be trying that?

And I know what I asked for. And the form isn't only credits.

But what you say would be extremely pedantic, and what would be the point of that? Justice for???
Have some patience and do what they tell you, lol that's it.

I don't care if you do what they want you to, but I know the people handling this will. Stop being intentionally disruptive.

It has not been mentioned, that I have seen. Carrier owners will have to wait until the decommission pending state is complete, in order to get the credits before they request the copy to PC? (If they want those credits copied over) Just a delay of 5-7 days. Expedited decommissioning would be nice.

Not sure where he is wrong ?
The wealth transfer via customer support is the old one you sell all your stuff it get your credits only moved over to PC where you have no ranks no ships no engineers . A clean blank slate .
The portal which opens tomorrow see Sally's post will do a one off copy of your console commander :- ships( not FC) ranks engineers and engineered modules that you hold on the day of transfer .
Both don't give you the same result .
This sums up my entire point.

2 separate processes, 2 separate sets of steps to take, 2 separate results.

One involves contacting Customer Support and waiting for a response from an actual human being.

One has been implied to be at least partially automated through it's own unique point of access.

I'm pretty sure the entire point behind setting up an access portal for this specific method of transfer is so that FDevs Customer Support staff aren't flooded with emails about Console Transfers.

This was posted 40 minutes ago.... well after the annoucement was made on the blog and other users were asking about it here. So, good, but less than ideal and certainly not warranting the sarcasm towards someone who clearly didn't see it...
And it is one of 4 pinned post in a row, all at the top of the News page that specifically concern the Console Transfers and all share the same information.

The only new detail in the most recent post is that the transfer portal open tomorrow.

So it's really simple .
So you a want credits nothing else transferred ? Then go the old route via Customer services.
If you want a full transfer the go to the portal . Simples .
If you think you can buck the system then go for it .
Why would Frontier go to the effort of a transfer portal when we could just use customer service???? hmmm let me think ......for a while?? And why would it take them 6 months ?? Was it just to annoy the hell out of the console gamers ??
But if you want to carry on with your thoughts that you are right then be my guest .. it won't affect me as I will go through the proper and due process knowing full well that once finished my 6 years of playing on Xbox won't be lost .

It's an interesting point in theory. It's like saying two branches on a tree are two separate trees. Under certain conditions, I guess they could be. But under prevailing conditions they are not.

'Partially automated?' That sounds... interesting. It sounds like that heavily involves human beings who have to type data in. Just like the other process. Are these people smart enough to make minor tweaks when specified?

I'm pretty sure that the whole point of a portal is so the customer doesn't mess things up by being confused by the Transfer form, and slowing the process down by asking lots of questions. The information will get to the same place in the end, in my opinion. Clogging up customer services? I think you might be overestimating things a bit.

I mean, already most of you think the existing form is just Wealth Transfer. It's not.

What's interesting is that some people are getting their nose bent out of shape or crying about some perceived unfairness by an alternate view over something so trivial, just to prove...what? Is it just a need to be right?

But, I don't need your permission. And, I am right.

Did the form you fill out look something like this?
12629545-C164-4D3D-9B07-DB2C9BD55119.png

Because that’s seems to be just wealth & cosmetics to me.

Either way, if you want to waste your own time by filling in the wrongs forms then be my guest.

I’m going to advise that other people be patient & sensible and wait for the official portal to open 👍

Ah now you are saying cosmetics as well.

You missed the box where extra info can be typed, including links to appropriate threads. It's really simple - I'll spare you the explanation again.

I'm sure the same people will get the info, either way. Very sure.

I'm not advising that anyone now do it this way, what I did before I knew of this mysterious 'portal'. I never advised a thing. You don't work for Frontier, so neither should you.

So, let's see how it all shakes down with your quasi-demi-semi automated process that you are sat waiting for, and beyond. I hope you got some humble pie ready to eat in the fridge 😋

I’m just following the official info that FDev have shared thus far with regards to Console Transfers.

You can keep writing your opinion pieces if you want 😂

Not sure why you're so adamant to die on this hill.

FDev said a web portal will be open for the general public today. They didnt said people should open support tickets.

If they took the effort to create a portal to facilitate the copy/transfer process, it's obvious they will redirect all inquiries made to support to that portal.
And support will only deal with issues arising from using that portal - if any...

But you weren't.

Because I'm right? What other reason would there be? It's certainly not giving me any satisfaction.

The last bit is your opinion. You're not bearing in mind who you're dealing with.

I guess when my account is copied not transferred, that'll prove my point and everyone's lives will change. Or not, hehe
