Console Profile Transfers: FAQ and Expected Date

Is there a time limit on when you can do it? I’ve been checking every month for when the start of this is and was hoping it would be the 12th. Now, I won’t have a chance to transfer until next week. As long as the window is still open I don’t mind.

Sure! So as it currently stands there is no confirmed date for closure, so it will remain open indefinitely and when we deem the process set to close, we will inform you all way ahead of time.

Carto data is completely different to missions, so I too would like clarification on this. As I’m many months out in the black and need to know if it needs cashing in before transfer.

Another exploration related Q. If my PS and PC copy Cmdrs have the same name will first‘discovered/mapped/footfall’ systems show the same name ?

It's kind of not different from mission data though. It's a future monetary gain that's waiting for you to turn it in, just like a completed mission is. I'm thinking any fines or bounties would fall in this same temporary category as well. They're all a temporary transaction that you need to go see someone to turn in.

Now I could be wrong on this. I could be thinking they're the same as a current mission and FDev could consider them as credits. They should have clarified this back in the OP. Worst-case scenario if I'm wrong and you listen to me is that you haul ass to a location that lets you sell the data earlier than you planned to sell. Worst-case scenario if I'm right and you ignore me is that you lose the data. You all need to decide which you'd rather experience.

I also have ED Odissey on Steam and need to transfer my account from PS4 to PC.
Did you solve the problems you had ?

Also, tried to log into my frontier account (this is an old forum login) and it is saying the account it locked... i'm assuming that is due to it going through the transfer process.
 
I had a seamless process during my transfer, however I am not able to locate the Elite launcher to access my free copy of Horizons. I am a PC newb, I confess it. Please help. thx.

Not so much for me now. Had to raise a ticket.

My elite on steam was linked to one email

My transfer went to the same one from my Xbox account (2 frontier accounts)

Cmdr currently in limbo
 
Transfer went seamlessly for me this evening. Quite happy with how easy it was.

One thing I can't figure out though, I can't seem to access it through Steam.
I have linked my accounts together, generated the partner activation key and tried to activate it on Steam but when I do it says I have to activate something.

Not sure if I've missed something along the way. The game runs fine from the stand alone launcher
 
SO I am confused about this:

How do I get my free copy of Elite Dangerous: Horizons?

During the copying process, you will be asked to log into an existing PC account or create a new one.  If you opt to create a new account, a Horizons Licence will automatically be applied to the new account.

I created a new account before transfer, and I did the transfer. I have a copy on Xbox of the game, but when I check my account on the frontier store it says I don't have anything. Did I not get my copy of horizons because I didn't create the account at time of transfer?
