Before the new DLC is announced and to avoid further grievance I will use this post to inform you all that I will no longer allow replacing animals from the moment the new DLC drops. New lists containing 25 animals will of course still be accepted.

This is because of three reasons:
1) An important shift has happened in my life lately and I am (and will be) busier than I used to be when I started this. It's super nice to see new entries coming in and people still updating their lists, but I can barely keep up updating the thread even if I only had to deal with new lists.

2) As some of you may remember, I wasn't very convinced on this 'replacing' system from the beginning. I changed my mind pretty much to please the most loyal players/forum users who almost begged for this system to be implemented :D It has turned out to be fairly succesful, I'm not gonna lie. But still, to me it is still a little unfair that people who got their favourite animals in-game are allowed to have extra votes while others don't. It's doubly 'unfair' if you think of it. Also the fact that the number of new lists is still doing so well makes these 'replacing votes' more irrelevant as they're just a handful compared with the new 25 votes in every new list.

3) Even though game support is not ending by any means, I don't know how allowing more and more extra votes at this stage could be of any relevance and ultimately worthwhile considering the work it entails to do the updates. If Frontier were to release DLCs until let's say the end of 2023, surely most of the animal choices should already be decided, and most definitely the 'pending' ones shouldn't change much at this stage with such a huge amount of data.
Everytime a new DLC drops, quoting old lists and re-voting gets more and more messy, as people have used different approaches when updating their lists. On top of that, some posts are still being deleted in this thread so it's very difficult ot keep track of old posts as their number changes ever so slightly every now and then.

Absolutely understandable and all the points mentioned are very logical. I also had my doubts if replacing would be useful from this point on.
I hope your life shift is a good one @random goat and that you still got time to enjoy the game and also the forums, as you're such a great member of the community and personally I don't want to miss you. :)

Thanks a lot for you words but yeah it's the same shift from some months ago. New job with much more responsibility and in a new country...and possibly further changes down the line.
I will still have enough time to at least lurk the forums and play the game from time to time!!

Thank you so much for all your amazing work with the meta-wishlist @random goat and all the best for your future endeavors! I'm sure everyone can understand that it's too much of a time-consuming task to put in all this extra-work just to accommodate a few more votes. (But I suspect there will still be people who come to this thread after the new DLC is announced and try to change their animals after missing your post. Let's hope it's not too many 😁)

Very Happy to see my beloved slow Friends climbing little by little in the list. I love its peaceful smile. That's why I want them in Game. We are Closer!!!
