Come on have u seen the spec? The 12 teraflops of processing power housed in the system on a chip (SOC) work with AMD’s Zen 2 and RDNA 2 architectures to result in worlds that demand a closer look.
I think Fdev never tried EDO with next gen consoles? Even though all other games were being optimised for PS5 and Series X, EDO was never from the beginning ? They tried to with last gen only ? But then again that could just be my bitter self ?
Hmm, an RTX 3090 has 78 teraflops.

defo not an elite... i just had confident the 3090 would cover its costs mining (i wanted a 3080FE but could not get one)
my gamble paid off and i ended up about £300 up on the cost of the gpu before i could no longer mine
so a nice free high end upgrade.
Thats why there is a shortage of graphics cards due to bitcoin mining.
I think consoles were about 1/3 ? of the player base so it wasn't a small minority so who could afford to lose that much in a niche game?
I think they may have tried to get last gen but they never really bothered with next gen even from the very start. In PC world they have Min specs but on consoles they seemed to be very loath to say next gen only ? But that's my thoughts

why ? because I was able to offset the costs of a high end gaming GPU on a bit of mining on the side. ?
actual miners bought dozens of them. I needed a GPU anyway I couldn't get a 3080FE (I tried) so I bought what is actually not a good bang for your buck mining card.
(3060ti was more preferable for mining followed by 3080, then 3070 before the 3090... the 3090 cost a lot to buy, use a lot of power (create a lot of heat) and the memory on the back plate causes all sorts of problems with over heating)
back to topic....
given how EDO performed on decent pcs I am not that surprised FD gave up on it
surely tho not porting to the current gen is more of a financial decision than a technical one
