...I reached Tripe Elite but I don't play PvP, so some might think it's too easy, understand, I'm gonna be 64 in 7 days, a bit too slow for PvP now...
Aye, tell me about it. I'll be 73 in a month from now and very nearly extinct, but somehow I've still managed to blunder my way around planet
surfaces, using a zimmer frame doing exobiology and whatnot. PvP is right out for me as well, for the same reason as you so I only play in hide-behind-the-sofa mode also.
I'm almost back at the bubble right now, in my Asp Explorer where my other ships are (so far a Mamba, Type 6, Sidewinder and trusty old Cobra MkIII.) I've almost completed a 10,000LY round trip to do some exploration and plaster my name on a few things here and there.
I've also spent quite a bit of this trip trying to get the hang of prospecting on planet surfaces in the SRV, as amongst other things I need
phosphorus and sulphur so I can get to level 5 with Felicity Whatsname and upgrade jump ranges and power plants etc on my fleet. I also need
those materials so I can refuel my SRV when I'm out in the middle of nowhere. Believe it or not though, I've only just now had some success with that, as the prospecting aspect had held no prospect whatsoever for me.
I'd been wondering if I was doing something wrong, but yesterday I landed in a crater on one of those creamy-coloured with reddish-brown blotches on them rocky ice planets and BINGO! Managed to find and scoop quite a bit of what I need.
Somebody somewhere said the best ship for exploration is the Anaconda, but I'm pretty sure it would be no good for exobiology as it's hard enough
trying to land in mountainous areas in the Asp, never mind a gigantic great lump that's much bigger. In fact, I'm thinking of trying my Sidewinder out for that.
