I think the address in the OP is still valid. If that fails then you can try the general communities email address, which I think is AFAIK What I wrote above is still valid, it seems to have been confirmed by a couple of other posters. Try it and please post back here to say how successful you were. First thing, create a player group using the process described here. Then start a thread for your group here. You can then submit a request for a PMF at the same time or you may prefer to grow your group first, up to you. And just start writing. That forum gets browsed a lot, people are always interested to see what their rivals are up to! Plenty of people will read your material, and if they like it they'll engage, and your group will grow. At least, that's how I imagine it will work, but some ideas gain more traction than others - see if you can find my group's thread in there anywhere ;D All good advice from outsidefactor too.

Yes, I'm still 16 kylies north, I found the new wreck only a few hundred metres from the first one. Thankfully, I am on my return journey from BP, so jump range is not so much of an issue. Anyway, it only seems to have reduced it by 0.1ly, so no big problem.

I would speculate that it's because Sirius Corp supplies all ship's pilot interfaces, they have a monopoly on this as well hyperdrives and other things. Your other ideas are cool too :)

Er.... I was just about to reply and tell you if the POI was persistent or not. It isn't, at least I can't find it. But I just found another wreck with a bunch of occupied escape pods scattered around. This stuff just got real, my exploration trip has become a rescue mission.

No, there were no skimmers - that would have been really noteworthy!

Thanks. I was asking for clarification because of this: I've obviously not been very clear with my questions. Thanks for the help everyone :)

Yeah I know that all kinds of rocks (outcrops/meteorites etc) appear all over the galaxy :p but maybe I wasn't very clear so thanks for replying. So if you've found human-made/blue circle POIs (i.e. not rocks) 20klys past Colonia then that means what I've found is nothing special, already fits what we know about. Thanks for the confirmation:)

I've had several dreams that came true. It's really creepy, and is why I believe in being able to see the future.

Well, I'd like the missions to be re-added regardless of whether they're important or not because I haven't got the permit to do them yet!

Whoever PMed you deserves rep too! Please don't change it, it feeds my annual need for nostalgia :)

They appear on the wave scanner in the SRV, but I didn't know that minerals/rocks appeared on the ship scanner as a blue circle above 2km altitude.

Hi all, What's the furthest anyone's found a surface POI from Sol? I thought they were only supposed to appear ~1000lys from civilisation, but since I've been away from civilisation myself for >1 year I know lots of things have changed in that time, and the range of surface POIs may be one of them. Why do I ask? Because I just found a shipwreck >16000lys north of Jaques in the Orio-Persean Conflux. It was a very old, corroded, unidentifiable wreck, with zinc in a cargo rack and something called "compound shielding", which I assume is one of these newfangled materials. To me it looked like a proc-gen POI, I haven't yet relogged to see if it's persistent but I assume that it will not be. This wreck was found as part of the Sagittarius-Carina mission! Pics can be found here (not all science, some pretties too). Cheers :)

So outcrops/meteorites/bronze chondrite/etc rocks do create a POI circle? I thought they didn't, I thought only things that actively generated a "signal" would show as a blue circle on the scanner, and since rocks don't generate a signal they don't show as blue circles.

I really like the initiative. I'll check if I can write up some stuff about the yet-lesser-known hangouts in the edges of populated space. Have couple places in mind where stuff like this would fit... (No promises, I have lots of activities planned and a restless mind )
