    Because shield strength increased a couple hundred % but you only get 5 more chaff. 1v1s in PvP fit ships routinely last 20+ minutes, and chaff only lasts 6 minutes if you have 2 sets of ammo modded chaff.

    Before TLB, big ships were literally invincible in PvP. Huge shields meant you could just sit there with 4 pips and gimbals and dish out a ton of damage while doing literally nothing and just leave when you were in danger. Now, there is a counter to that and people are that they have to learn to fly their ships. Put fixed weapons on your ship and it doesn't matter. Fly a different ship, and it doesn't matter. Don't lobby to nerf an effective weapon because you want to be a lazy pilot.

    Fly an actual PvP ship that's capable of anything other than 4-0-2 reverski and face-tanking.

    Don't get hit by them. There should be a hard counter to gimbals, and TLB is it, because chaff doesn't fill the role anymore.

    Eh, it's really situationally dependent. If you're fighting a bi-weave FDL 1v1, ramming is dumb because the bi-weave will regenerate any lost MJ and your ship will take permanent damage. Against a prismatic? Sure, ram away, just don't get too crazy and kneecap yourself in the process.

    I don't know the specific heat values, but hammers are always hotter. It's likely 11x3 for heat generation.

    So let me get this straight: you lost a 1v1 against a ship where you spent 200 mats to synth ammo, and the problem is that his shields regen too quick? All you have to do is hit him every 3 seconds and they don't regen at all. You brought a bad build to the fight, consistently shot your multicannons at him while he was 2km+ out, and say you lost because bi-weave regen is OP? Any competent PvPer in the game could have told you that you were going to lose that fight regardless of synth, because you don't have the experience or skill to win it, full stop. HD stack is terrible in 1v1, and your mates in 13th legion should have told you that.

    It's not possible. All of those ships you're fighting (courier/clipper/FDL) all cruise faster than your top boost speed. If you don't want people to get away from you, fly another ship.

    You were able to keep fire because turrets, inexplicably, are entirely unaffected by TLB. You were getting hit pretty often, and still ended up leaving. You know what you're doing, though, and OP seems very green, so he shouldn't expect to fare as well. Not saying it can't be done, but there are better ships to learn how to PvP in than the Corvette.

    You should never die in PvP unless you choose to, but you're going to have an extremely hard time fighting other PvP ships in it unless you specifically gear for PvP. Mediums will boost around you and hit you with TLB PAs and you won't be able to fire back. Large ships will be set up to fight ships just like you and you'll get worked. Unfortunately, in this game, you have to gear for PvE OR PvP, not both. Generally, this means big HD stacked shields and roughly balanced resists along with SCBs. You fight until your SCBs run out, then you leave. If you want build-specific feedback, post a coriolis link with all your rolls on it (or rough approximations).
