    Massacre missions don't affect influence. Just the state, and your rep and cred balance. Other missions, such as trade or courier missions don't help either, even though they say they are for the war effort. But I think assassination and bountyhunting missions do have some effect though.

    So what do you measure local time in? Example, Mitterand Hollow in Epsilon Indi has a "day" that is about 4 minutes long. So how would you measure this local time? I think it would be useful to know that the local sun would be rising in 2 standard minutes. However, it will eventually become useful to know the local season, when we get to land on atmospheric planets. Maybe local time becomes more relevant then too.

    Жаль. Так рождается не поддержка сторонних разработчиков, а уверенность их в том, что они незаменимы. Если у господ протестующих появятся еще какие претензии (фронтиры не успели пофиксить их драгоценный АПИ через 10 минут после выхода патча, или еще чего-нибудь столь же "вопиющее"), они опять объявят забастовку. А зря, потому что "незаменимых людей нет". Уйдут они в знак протеста - на их место придут другие, в идеале те, кто не считает, что с ними должны носиться, как с писаной торбой. (Особенно смешон пример Инары: сайт не обновлялся чуть ли не с момента выхода 2.2, и только неделю назад вроде бы заработал. И тут же создатели выходят на "акцию протеста" из-за отсутствия "поддержки". На себя посмотрите сначала...)

    And there would be nothing stopping them from building their own ships using this updated science. It's unlikely they would have the tech or facilities to be able to apply it to the generation ship itself, but they could build short range shuttles and scout ships.

    Там еще компьютерная тетенька скажет "Mission Objective Detected". Кстати, такое ощущение, что в 2.3 эти НИСы появляются быстрее, по крайней мере в миссиях на убийство. Раньше можно было прождать больше 10 минут, в 2.3 - или появляются практически сразу при входе в сферу влияния планеты, или вообще цель тебя в суперкруизе перехватывает, даже до планеты долететь не успеваешь.

    Как показывает моя практика с Курьером, ужать по массе (пусть и немного) можно все. Ну кроме разве что ФСД (хотя... если не нужен прыжок, можно попробовать выбить вторичку к массе на первом грейде)

    You could possibly do this just by state alone. Unchecked outbreak could lower the population, as you would expect. But the refugees may not settle in their destination system. But what these refugee missions will do is have an effect on the state of their target faction in the destination system. So this state, if triggered, could raise the population or reduce it and generate missions as well that will also affect their destination systems.

    It is TOTALLY WORTH going to the Generation Ships... I was at one of them in Mobius and there were some other CMDRs there as well and it was a great conversation between us all. And the voice acting from the logs were stellar and the whole thing made me feel uneasy for the people that died on that ship... it was a great experience to be there. Sad to hear that some just don't "get it"... but, one day you might. :) - - - Updated - - - This...

    Haha yes someone else pointed that out! I wonder how many rebuys I'd have gone through with Count before that occurred to me! Not if you're planning on doing some mapping, or some decent travelling around the galaxy. It was totally petulant and childish that's why I put picture of Verruca Salt up. I was exercising my right to have a tantrum.

    Well... Time isn't the issue at all. The functionality is. As we all know, FD seems to develop Elite based on player feedback and ingame action. If polls were vetted, even if it takes 5 months, if it gets through the vetting, it could give FD good feedback of what players wants in the game. So, no silly polls like "What is your favourite hotdog" etc would be posted. Look at it as a suggenstion poll, with serious topics. The reason I say this is because, apparently, Multi-Crew is a feature that is dependent on how many uses it in order to be fleshed out.... and since there aren't a lot to do in Multi-Crew except for pew-pew, chances are that fleshing this feature out for other activities in the game are quite low.

    Let me get this straight... You are advocating for a game where you need to go outside the game in order to store data? Am I reading that correct? If so, wouldn't it be a good thing to have a Notepad inside the game to write things down? Why should I have to leave the game in order to record notes, I wonder?

    If by "Force" you mean interdictor then yes that is correct. Your job will be to bring a fast >700 m/s ship that can interdict any armed ships in the area. If you bring weapons you will be target of both other interdictors and and armed guardians. The reason to bring no weapons is that the organized defenders know you are not a threat and are working to help release Salome's secrets. Of course everyone is free to bring weapons, but if you are not an experienced PVPer, and not part of the organized defense, you will likely die to friendly fire (shoot first ask questions later) or add to the chaos. Don't worry about pulling down the armed good guys. Trust me, you won't be able to interdict any of us.

    This! Get back to make this game great instead of adding features that "sells the game", where players then discover they need to spend more time outside the game to do things in the game. I am here to stay, as I have proclaimed in another thread, but seeing how much these third party tools are needed in order to play the game, I would argue that the game lacks a whole lot of features. I would rather see that you, FD, start to think about how to implement these things into the game, rather than adding fancy features and forcing us, the playerbase, to use forums, web-based applications and other tools in order to have fun in the game. From a financial point of view, you are doing the right thing to support these third party developers; you don't have to develop these things yourself and make them work in the game. But, as a VR player, most of the third party tools just doesn't work. Take controll of Your game, and have this thread as a reminder of what people need, in the game, not outside the...
