He's correct, but here's an idea for making it work anyway - 1: FD move bug report threads into an "active" subforum of the bug reports forum when they are triaged and can be worked on. 2: We indicate our priorities by subscribing to threads in that forum. One person has three votes but those three votes will be divided evenly between all the threads that person subscribes to in the "active bugs" subforum, so don't try to game the system by subscribing to everything or you'll only be putting 0.01 of a vote on each of them and it won't count for much. If you want to switch your priority from one bug to another, unsub from the one and then sub to the other. 3: Database query informs FD of the priorities we have set by tallying those numbers when they are looking at the backlog planning a sprint. It's by no means binding, but the info is available to FD and could be used to "break ties" when there are several bugs prioritized equally by FD but not all will fit into the next sprint. 4: fixed bugs are moved...

The federal agents are not saying you're a "useless spacer" because you have no cargo, it's because you're not pledged to an opposition power and aren't carrying any PP-related supplies. "Agents" aren;t looking for cargo like pirates or crimes like the cops when they scan you - they are looking to see if you're an "enemy agent" working against their power.

Assuming you were not wanted when you arrived, there are two reasons why this might happen. If neither did in your case, then yes, file a ticket. Reason 1: You ignored a loitering warning for too long. We've all done the "oops" of forgetting to request permission and frantically bailed out of the slot before the station opened fire. It's also real easy to get loitering warnings in larger ships - for example, you can't often get through the slot without one in the big 3 without speeding. Which brings us to... Reason 2: You were speeding and another ship collided with you and blew up. If the ship colliding with you survived, that would just be a fine for reckless flying but if it explodes as a result of the collision that's a murder bounty and the station will immediately open fire. Other than those two, or doing something daft like shooting the station, there's no way to aggro the station into opening fire if you're otherwise clean. - - - Updated - - -

No. Because you can't dump mission cargo without abandoning the mission first.

No problem - I guessed it was something like that but the feed line was just too good to pass up. For the international audience, it's a reference to the fact that traditionally nothing is worn under the kilt... and the pronunciation quirk is because "plaid" isnt derived from the English language :)

I have the greatest sympathy for the OP and for the other developers of 3rd party tools for ED. They are providing a service that a significant fraction of the player base clearly uses. As such they are deserving of support from FD at least in terms of not breaking the features they rely on unless it's absolutely necessary and even then FD should let folks know in plenty of time for the 3rd party devs to find a workaround - they are ingenious folks with a great deal of experience at making these tools work without much of an API at all, if a workaround is possible then given the advance warning they'd probably find it. Personally, I don't trade on routes in those tools and I have extensive notes on my local machine about good places to find certain ships/modules/commodities so that aspect of them is a bit moot for me but that's just because I *like* playing old-school, I've certainly no reason to criticize another cmdr if they choose to make use of every feature out there, they are as entitled to play...

The mission may be giving you commodities as a reward, so you need to have a cargo bay to finish the mission and accept the reward

Out of concern for the wider game. I may not need it. But apparently, lots of players do. And the game needs those players to keep going.

After some reading, this is what I want to see happen: For FD to add these types of tools into the actual game. That would make the 3PD's obsolete, and hey presto! This thread never happens again. Make it so Frontier. Destroy the need for 3PD's. Everyone wins. Srsly.

So what is Frontier supposed to do as "support"? Seriously, I'm an idiot. I'm asking you what Frontier does with the developers. What do they say? How do they communicate? I'm asking how they go about throwing the ball here, not if they're supposed to.

I'm not angry. I don't actually care. Apart from EDCD, which is working properly. I doubt FD can add anything to that brilliant site. Frankly anyone who can't play without these tools needs to GIT GUD. The game is playable. And I'm sure that jumping from system to system to find that thruster upgrade was intended gameplay. But could someone PLEASE, enlighten plebs like me what "support" actually means? As already said, this could not come at a worse time. Though I think it is obvious that's deliberate. Honestly? I think these 3PD's are being incredibly selfish. I'd rather they just delete the tools altogether. Because simply making them offline feels like blackmail. Even if that isn't their intention, I imagine a lot of non-forum-going players feel cheated.
