Now Logitech own the X52 Pro, I would suggest one. There have been reports of varying quality - and some horror stories, but for what it's worth all three of mine are still happily trudging along.

BS. Your personality isn't influenced by your country of birth. If the ties are so important for you then I'm sure you have no problem with giving Alsace back to Germany. :P The main differences between a German and a Spaniard, are cultural background and language. Those differences exist between two German too. If I'm talking to someone from Hamburg or Munich, I'm not sure whether we speak the same language. God beware talking to people from Austria and Switzerland. I'm not able to understand them properly 99% of the time.

If you think the UK will just walk away when the alternative, by that time, is crystal clear you've got no faith in the intelligence of your fellow citizens.

It's handy to have an old machine hooked up for this exact purpose.

Can't rep, so v+1 Nice write up! The P2P nature of gameplay adds geometrically to these issues.

Why shouldn't they be able to become Belgians? Germany had the Ius Sanguinis for a long time and we dropped it. Modern nationstates aren't defined by culture nor heritage. They're solely defined by the old borders which were created throughout history.

Nobody in CIG knows for sure either - as nearly everything is still at the concept stage and a "we envision X to be like Y" with a superdose of "new technology never attempted before" splattered all over a "solid technical foundation" that shifts every five minutes.

And it's good that they canceled that. However I wouldn't be too sure that Google can escape the tax in the EU by having their HQ in the UK in the future. That's your opinion. The choice of the people who do that, is as valid.

I doN't and can't belíve this especially if i remember correctly there were some minor "glitches" trough the elections whom actually pointed toward the manipulation of votes. trump even considered to report it as a crime. So let's keep it hush hush otherwise the people will understand they will be cheated, and our current electronic voting system is easily manipulated? You know how this is called? Concealing a crime. And if you suing to conceal a crime? :) I don' think that can be legal. You can be sure of it. If they do something this big they do it to change things, and even if they are "just" changed the voters behavior, by i don't know? targeted messages: they still tampered with something what's none of their business, committed a crime and manipulated the USA elections.

All the officials have continued to maintain the story that despite everything, the actual votes were not changed. ( from one candidate to the other) However, it seems that the opinions of people were changed. And thus, how they voted. The idea seems to be to preserve confidence in the election process itself. But yes, I too am wondering whether or not the actual votes were directly tampered with. The US Government is not exactly famous for being revealing unflattering things about itself. Such an admission would politically strengthen Russia greatly.

Just my humble opinion based on the range of over 50 different weapons and about the same amount of shields; on offer.

You are not really asking any new questions with this thread; in fact: You are just making a brief statement: Which is: Frontier got it wrong, from the beginning. This IS basically a pew pew game; however, there are many players, that have had hours, days weeks and months of enjoyment, without any weapons fitted to there ships hard-points and so such game play, can be seen as a bonus. Play your own way and simply enjoy all the different aspects, this fantastic game has to offer. I; by the way, am going nowhere.

That is what was said about 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and all other updates since the beginning. What a boring game this would be, if everything worked as intended and what would people have to do with all that time they wasted complaining about the faults? I know; they would complain that it was not the right content. Merge please; with one of many other, 'the game needs fixing threads'.

Very happy with the 960 Pro NVME - nice little performer. However, for absolute raw boot time, nothing else I have beats the 840 Pro on my Haswell I5 with 8Gb RAM. Power, display flash, desktop in about 3 seconds. No idea how it manages it, all my other machines with better specs get nowhere near.

I should be supper dupper elite on these forums by now; but no. that good old glass ceiling is stopping any real progression for animals like me. Fortunately F.D. have a 10 year plan for this game and so I may stand a chance of reaching the Average combat rank by then.

I disagree that harsher border controls are an inevitability. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/world/uk/brexit-trade-deal-with-india-at-risk-without-visa-reform/articleshow/56662919.cms https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/jan/21/australia-to-seek-uk-migration-deal-in-brexit-trade-talks When the UK has engaged in informal trade talks the nation involved has spoken about free movement as a quid pro quo. Whilst we will be able to put up barriers to Germans, French, Polish, or Slovaks "comin' 'ere and takin' are jerbs" we will likely have less control over citizens from other nations doing just that. Of course the minimum wage in Germany is €8,84 per hour. In Slovakia it is €2,51. In India the average hourly wage is €0,36. Not only that, but if you're coming from Europe you might be looking to settle but you might well come for a few years or come seasonally to work, as the UK is right on the doorstep. If you're coming from India you're going to be sacrificing everything to make the trip and if...

When you play Elite on a high-end PC, with your friends also on high-end PC's, all with VR and low-latency, high bandwidth connections and preferential routes to each other and pretty much everything tweaked to make the experience as fun and immersive as possible - it's not actually much fun to have someone on a potato turn up, sprinkling judder and packet loss like confetti, and garnishing the whole steamer with a delightful "AMZA PWNS U N00bS" :D

Not quite true: If you get it on approach to your target system, then it can very difficult to 'slow down' enough not to over shoot; however it is not impossible. One you can use the gravity of the planet to slow yourself down and two, you can weave or fly in a wave paten to; take longer to reach the target. By weaving or moving up and down, you are covering more distance, than you would do, if you carried on in a straight line. Thus giving yourself, more time and space to; slow down.
