I hope I can manage to snap a still shot of Themadoll that's as good as your's tonight. That is a stunning image.

I got this information directly from Frontier. Like many others here I wanted clarification, so asked for confirmation on this. The sales do not include paintjobs or any of the other extras, the 2.75m copies sold is purely Elite Dangerous and Horizons units. :)

Here are a bunch of examples. None of these look the same any more: The first moon is Assellus Primus it's a starter system and very easy for you to go and check (these blue/green planets no longer exist). The moon in the middle of the clip is Merope 5C, it's a very popular location, this moon now looks completely different and has lost all the dramatic details. The three moons at the end of the clip are a great example. That was taken in the Orrere system, if you go there now, you will see all the moons are brown and far less detailed.

You know what my choice was in the same situation, but I'll give you my reasoning. I'm actually quite a fan of the integral headphones. They make it easy to don and doff the headset. There's only one cable. And I discovered when playing music through them that they are of fairly high quality. The Oculus gamesmakers know exactly the target headphones, and can tailor their sounds for them.

My headphone speakers went on mine. They didn't need any photos from me and were prompt in getting a pickup scheduled to replace my headset. The problem is that the headset went to the Netherlands to get replaced. It took about 9 days for the replacement to arrive. I'm handling the new headset with kid gloves. When the approval arrives they'll tell you they want every bit back, so be prepared for that.*

It's a good OP, highlighting the grind versus game mentality. Totally a shame if you really are gone for good .. sounds like you have what it takes to fit right in with this community .. of nut cases (in a good way). One word for you .. MINING!? Or .. follow systems in outbreak and supply medecines??? (Mercy me?) aka. operate your ship at a loss! That's what I do! #notalwaysonpurpose.com :D

No, but might be up to 5,000Ls for a destination body around the primary star. Likely any ship with destination around secondary star (with IS jumps) means spooling FSD immediately on arrival .. this halves the in system traffic, unless you preclude a high wake within some exclusion distance from a star? (That would cause a prob for unarmed traders though, who often use high wake to shake an interdictor). You could double to spool time for an in-system jump I suppose but that seems illogical ("why does the FSD work twice as hard? The destination is way nearer!?") .. you could handwavium around 'it's a navigation thing' maybe but it's not really my core reason for not liking in system jumps so much. If a microjump needs the same time to initiate like a highjump, so what is the difference to the actuall gameplay in terms of highwake and piracy? None apart from a high wake to a different system disrupts a trader. A <medium wake> to secondary star speeds the trade route up. It's on your planned route...

But we need help, we need you to run +++ influence missions for us all the way till Friday mornings Tick when WAR should break out, then its WAR ZONES well conflict zones and combat bonds. Group passenger missions are particularly helpful too, leave those solo riders behind. It is also OPEN SEASON on any Workers of Lave Liberal ships, destroy at will. Extreme Prejudice. We must secure the station for the future of us all. Help us ... pleeease

You have to sight, target, scan and then get in behind to interdict and very often it takes way more than 1000Ls to catch your target. In fact usually it's only when they start decellerating .. getting near their desti .. that you make ground on them. I'm not into microjumps because you do have choice and I prefer having more to do during travel time than contracting time. It's the only time when I read Galnet (or read up on the Powers) on the fairly rare occasions I do get a mission change to a second star station. Local ones I know and probably avoid (though I do still get a kick from 'ridiculous speed' and deep space remoteness, even after a couple of years' playing). Star to Star jumps would totally sterilise the game galaxy. Sounds good on paper but would make every single Star System identical to the next. Though Lagrange might have legs, even they might sterilise too (or won't really change anything, LG Points between distant stars are still, further away?).

My Answer to your question is that yes it is totally Fair, the rules for open are that there are no rules, you want to blow up noobs cmdrs then go ahead, you want to attack players trying to earn a living at a CG then yes its fair, you want to interdict players in smaller ships than yours, sure its totally fair. because open is a mode the allows it to be fair for anyone who thinks its fair. If players don't think its fair then join a PVE group that makes things fair for all players.

Seeing as Dayrth's busy and Themadoll is floating in a tin can far above a moon, we are going to have a Fighter Club special. Help Themadoll achieve his lifetime ambition of driving an SRV in a spacestation. Any of the regular members can meet us at Votatini B 1, homing in on Themadoll's wing beacon.

Yeah Commanders I'm hyped. Though I thought I did at one stage, I don't agree any more that the big ticket updates (PP, Wings, Multicrew) should be seen as isolated 'gameplay' additions made in order of gameplay importance. I'd say there a better than 50/50 chance they're as much game 'architecture' additions and it's that drives why they were added and when. Even if the out of box gameplay isn't up anyone's alley, in terms of game engine capability I like them a lot. (Especially Engineers actually .. powerplant running at 'reduced' efficiency? No??) Anyway, 2.4 is going to be about Thargoids and I sense the flower ships will seek out the cynical and melt any jaded gamer faces with some sort of alien mind (or worse) probe, and then with extreme prejudice. So I'm hyped Mr Thargoid Sir, yes I am, just an honest miner, I haven't been fiddling with your artifacts!

Is this financial (or 'emotional') debt of which you speak? --> <-- because I was under the impression, CIG raised ten times that much on the kickstarter? I think Frontier were pretty cute on this; Money is never insignificant but I got the impression ED KS was at least as much to decide whether ED would have a market, as a product. At some stage surely any project has to start operating like a business though and wouldn't be surprised if the earned wisdom might be; after KS, start operating like a business, 'as soon as possible'. Crowdfunders might end up being seen as no better bet than going to a bank ie. you still lose everything if the project fails. More certainly if all that KS money just burned massive holes in CIG's pockets. Maybe no wonder CR is looking a bit nervy these days. If the product doesn't get delivered and the refund train did get going, with no product for income and refunds outstripping what's in the bank, given rent and contracts with dev employees, could he end up as an...

Blade Runner is coming out? I could trust Frontier Developments to do a game worthy of the Westwood Studios game. Something similar to Fallout 4's Nick Valentine would be brilliant, especially in VR
