unknown. if you can come up with a test, whether specific state buckets apply faction wide or not, and whether they need to be countered in the system they come from (if they do), or not, please run it and share.

with 40 mio you are pretty much in the gap between vulture (10-25 mio) and FDL/FAS (80 mio+). that said, i recommend spending your 40 mio on 3 ships: a) a viper mkIII or eagle, to learn the basics. eagle if you want to learn more (as it can't tank, isn't fast, so you have to think ahead), viper if you want to learn easier b) a courier or DBS. courier if you anyway have the rank, DBS for learning to use fixed weapons c) a vulture. best tool for the job, might get boring fast. but a very serious pve combat ship, which can take down any target.

i guess that will be a "repair limpet controller" - but the lightweight modding works on any limpet controllers afaik (no, i have no shielded prospector limpet controller, as much as i miss it!)

what i have seen looks like anti-thargoids weapons, not like anti-thargoid defences, so will be most irrelevant to me most of the time.

... well, i have a class 1D lightweight collector limpet controller down to 0,1T for my speed courier (as that is hard to get below 40 m/s ma scooping speed).

depends on a) which ship you fly for exploration. the jumprange hit due to mass is significant on a courier, and neglectable on a conda b) are you going anyways for a close up (me, if i only scan shinies)? - fast is your friend c) are you going to scan all moons of a gasgiant? - fast is your friend d) are you scanning a lot of bodies with a higher mass (me searching for pristine rings)? - longrange is your friend

there is this old list: .... which is missing lightweight life support, lightweight sensors, lightweight heatsinks, lightweight plasma slug railguns, and fast or longrange DSS on it.

make sure you are using the correct internal slot when checking outfitting for a fighter bay. if you go into outfitting using any other internal slot, fighter bay will not be shown. is your friend for finding a station that sell them.

    - you are mining in a pristine metallic ring? (you just mentioned pristine) - you dropped into the correct ring? (sometimes the inner is metallic, while the outer is metal-rich for exampel) - you used prospector limpets? ... generally, my own experience is, that there are rings giving more or less painite consistently, so i have my painite ring, and my osmium rings, etc. pp. celeano a1 was great for painite last week, but it is a bit far off.

good luck! i'm very interested how long it will take you. how much worse the probability is to the ~0,6% of a FSD5 range increase god-roll.

    - there are some objects which require currently unobtainable permits, like our moon, but yes it is fully explorable - yes, it is quite realistic. have in mind, mars is terraformed, earth had several catastrophic events behind it (like all out wars, climatic catastrphies etc.) etc. ... - yes, a lot of non-atmospheric bodies are landable .... the geysers of enceladus for eampel are very impressive. - comets are in game (alreday simulated by the stellar forge), but have no visual representation (so, if you manage to drop out at a comet, you will see nothing ->!) - there are some real comets simulated in the above meaning and welcome to these forums! don#t miss to scour the exploration subforum

amazing! so, to recap - the station name in commodity description is correct in so far, as it is in system, that station has no commodity market, but it is on sell in another station in the same system. was it this what it made you find it? grats!

that's the general rule. the other is, during investment state in any system the minor faction is present, CZ are in ceasefire. I'm pretty sure that's a bug, but FDEV have not confirmed it as such, and it is a consistent one since investment can happen parallely to other states since 2.3 (and is unique in that).

the one thing i would really like to have is the possibility to send ships somewhere where you plan to travel to.

you could check conflictzones before taking on massacre missions (i do it, not for ceasefire as i know the circumsta ces which trigger those, but to check conflictzones spawning at all).

one of the caveats of c4 burst is their weird rate of fire, making it complicated to hit smaller moving targets at all with a full burst, and to hit moduls. i'd suggest either overcharged pulses or efficient beams on huge, or both as longrange G1 (as the upped apv of focussed won't help on huge hardpoints).
