    Option 2. I've asked for this several times. No inventory management, especially when mining. BH sessions in res sites, same as mining only data this time. Auto discard when full is a must if we were to have this option as well.

    I did exactly that. I had a Vulture and a FDS and I wanted the Python. Liqidated my assets to buy a D-rated Python, barely enough to cover 1 rebuy, but I had a Python! I eventually came to my senses, sold the Python and got back in my FDS and A-rated it. Bought a Python some time later when I could afford to fit it properly. Don't do it.

    Poorly, they tend to get missile spammed to death quickly, it's just luck. Sometimes they can last a bit, other times they get shot down within a minute of being launched.

    Gimbals on the medium, for the small I personally use turrets since they don't do all that much damage, more like utility weapons with engineer special effects.

    Cobra MkIV, because I value utility. Pros: 8 optional internals, this is amazing for such a small ship. I got room for a C4 prismatic shield, 32 tonnes of cargo, 8 economy passengers, 3A fuelscoop, 3D heavy duty HRP (thermal reactive hull), 1 SRV and an advanced discovery scanner Small hardpoint placement is excellent for fixed weapons, I put 3 rapid fire enforcers on there, chews through hulls nicely. Cons: 2 utility slots.

    Tried reversing that loadout yet? Thermals (lasers) on the small, medium and large and use kinetics on the huge, like MC. Bit of engineering on the lasers to reduce distributor draw which leaves more room for pips in SYS and ENG for longer periods. Might help letting you stay in the fight longer. Against smaller craft you shouldn't need to even fire the huge MCs, saves ammo for the big ships.

    I'm not much into combat apart from the occasional CG. FAS NPCs are the most annoying and sometimes go on ramming sprees, so I thought I'd try some else, zero throttle and just turn the ship to get a fix with my weapons. Sad part is that it kinda works. They just fly around within effective weapon distance trying to look like they're doing something useful with their maneuvers while I blast away. This was with a Corvette and Cutter, and I guess it would've worked just as well in 2.3, just that I never thought about it before since the 2.4 is more annoying than fun to shoot at.

    Some of my favourite games including Elite relied heavily on procedural generation, like TES II: Daggerfall. Most of the dungeons didn't make sense at all and you could get lost in towns, rare in modern games. As for the OP, I just find these things amusing.

    It is superior to the Anaconda in most aspects apart from jumprange, and the large hardpoint placement is problematic. So my advice is to avoid gimballed on the large hardpoint, either use a turret or fixed weapon, having a fixed option is nice when enemies start chaffing, something like a PA or APA if you pledge to Patreus for 4 weeks works great, fixed beam is another option. The 2 huge hardpoints are also good for fixed weaponry, likely we won't see another ship with better hardpoint placement for the size either.

    I'm thinking excellent hardpoint coverage and durability both shields and armour. This necessitates higher class core internals compared to the base T-9 model and will make it a fair bit more expensive to fit fully.

    Pointless arguing about numbers and trying to make sense of it as weight in all cases are just figures that in part are used as balancing tool for ship performance such as speed, jumprange, agility etc. You do notice all modules follow a pattern when looking at weight, right? And you're asking for realism when this exists? But sure, add mass to the Anaconda, and watch FDev tweak the hidden numbers that we cant see on the UI to make it perform roughly the same minus the jumprange. But at least we can celebrate it makes sense now, right? Just like the 128T 7A Collector limpet controller.
